Went to this hotel at the last minute to go to Sundance. The hotel itself is a little outdated but in a perfect location to see movies at various theaters and proximity to downtown Park City. My favorite thing though was Concierge and Front Desk Manager Mike. He was absolutely fantastic and really cares about his clients. He is knowledgeable about the location and things to do and was quick to help assist with reservations. We really appreciated his care and follow through. Would highly recommend the property to just to work with Mike again.
What a wonderful hotel with a convenient location. A Fresh Market is walking distance as is a Walgreens. The free city bus line is right outside the front door. A great way to visit Main Street and other locations in the area without driving and worrying with parking. Also Olympic park was a short walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is stylishly decorated. The front desk team was very pleasant and efficient…and those hot cookies YUM. The room was very clean and quiet. We received a free breakfast that was delicious. My husband enjoyed the eggs, bacon and hash browns while I enjoyed the fruit, yogurt and delicious hot oatmeal. We will look forward to staying here again in the future.
We loved our stay here at the DoubleTree! It was close to the Park City Mountain and Main Street. We especially loved the breakfast buffet every morning in the hotel and Edgar our waiter made the experience fantastic everyday!! Thank you so much Edgar for starting our day off on a great foot.
The location is a pro as it is in the theater district for Sun dance But the service at the on site restaurant left me angry, sad and unsatisfied multiple times. I had reserved a room with the breakfast package. Once the waitress decided to give me a check for the breakfast even before touched my cutlery to start having breakfast. It was like I don’t want to serve you anymore. That was bad hospitality. On my last day, I requested to have coffee and gas’s of orange juice. Not only did not get the coffee or the orange juice, I was not even served a glass of water. This is when everyone around is getting served water, coffee, and orange juice immediately. I tried looking for somebody to serve but they just didn’t look. After 15-20 minutes of being ignored, I called it quits. The waitress told me they were busy, but they didn’t have issues with other guests in the restaurant. It made me wonder if the service would had been better, if the color of my skin was white. Being the only non-white guest in the restaurant when I was there didn’t help with the feeling of being discriminated.…
Mike Mandelbaum, the Front Desk Supervisor, at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Park City, Utah, provided outstanding, friendly, and helpful customer service for our family during the Sundance Film Festival. He was extremely helpful in showing us where we could park our car, and he went above and beyond, by even providing cookies for our group. He then continued to go out of his way by meeting us after the film screening to see how everything went. We highly recommend him and the hotel.
We visited Park City in Jan 2023 (right before and over MLK weekend). The DoubleTree ticked so many boxes and made this trip memorable for our family (2 adults and 2 kids). Staff: We initially were greeted by Mike at the front desk who was super helpful and friendly. He gave several suggestions for places to see and how to navigate town. The rest of the front desk staff were just as enthusiastic and friendly. I really felt valued here as a guest and they all greeted our family and chatted with our boys when we entered or left. All of the housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful as well. On site restaurant: We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner multiple times and were not disappointed with service (Edgar and several of the female wait staff were excellent!) or quality of food. The huevos rancheros and avocado toast were some of my favs. For price and quality, the restaurant was a huge plus for us. I had to ask for my final hotel bill to reflect the food/bev credit for Diamond members - I seem to have to do this at every location with this benefit. *we did DoorDash dinner one night and had a casual dinner in the lobby next to the huge fire place while playing some card games with the kids. Location: The location is perfect! The proximity to the shuttle and ease of getting to mountain, to historic downtown, and to Kimball Junction were incredible. Fresh Market RIGHT next door was so convenient. We grabbed snacks and stuff to pack a lunch for the slopes. Amenities: Pool and hot tub well used and enjoyed by all of us. Our kids def enjoyed the game room. And we even did laundry the last night before traveling home. $2/washer and $2/dryer. Didn’t find the dryer to be effective for one cycle so that was frustrating. The “happy hour” is a nicety not necessity. Appreciate the waters and cookies :) Rooms: The rooms are normal hotel rooms - nothing special. I am not a fan of the way Hilton properties sandwiches the comforter between two sheets now but I know that’s a company-wide thing. Overall, a fantastic visit. Highly recommend and our family looks forward to visiting again! …
As we arrived at the Doubletree we were greeted by Rosario that was very nice. Then Michael assisted us with both of our rooms. We are diamond members and have stayed at so many Hilton properties. He was the best check in service we have ever had. Everyone at the hotel was so nice. Finally, Laura assisted us in making sure our bill was credited properly for the breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel due to the excellent customer service we received during our stay.
Older hotel that has been updated. Christmas decorations were nice and front desk was helpful. Rooms were fine but bathrooms were small. We had 3 teenage boys in one room and that was tight. Workout room and hot tub were great. Cookies are always nice but apps from 4-6 consisted of one fried item like onion rings. The location was tops. Fresh Market and Walgreens next door plus Christie’s and Jans nearby. We called ahead and Mike the concierge was The Biggest Reason To Book Here! He was amazing. Pretty much helped me plan the entire trip and I would give him 6 stars! He should be back soon. We used epic for our lift passes and Ski n See for rental. All fine. We did not rent a car or Turo bc we read positive comments about the public transportation. But no one at the front desk was clear w instructions. Download the app and ask the drivers. Restaurants within walking distance of this hotel were great: Tamanahura, Squatters, Five Seeds…all good! One warning…bring high snow boots, not ankle ones. Slush and accumulations were significant while we were here and you can’t walk around w ankle boots. Don’t miss PCPeaks snow mobile, Woodward for tubing and one of the dog sledding trips. Enjoy!…
Visited the Yarrow end of the year. As others have mentioned the main areas of the hotel have been updated. I thought they were quite lovely and cozy. Rooms are small and bathrooms could use an update. Gym was a good size, all the equipment one could need. My girls liked the little game room. We are diamond members but no upgrade was available (time of the year) all was booked.
Unfriendly front agent told us no upgrades were available, when they were, and only after calling the customer service agent, they offered them to us for more money than the difference in room rates. The breakfast buffet looked like a tornado had hit it, so we ordered a la carte which took 30min to arrive after we had already waited 15min to order. No place for skis, no shuttle bus, dirty hallways, first and last time at that hotel.
