Fabulous! Anne and David have a wonderful Inn close in proximity to three major ski areas...Bromley, Magic, and Stratton. However, this inn is ideal in off-season (Autumn) as I just spent three days and nights in the first-floor large room (King + double bed) The room was spotless, with tons of storage, and all facilities to enjoy the Vermont atmosphere. Wi-fi included. Parking lot convenient and large. I will return ASAP. Thank you.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at the AlpenRose. We had good snow at Stratton and a great place to come back to. The Inn is very comfortable and cozy. And Ann is a wonderful host. There's lots of little things that just make it a wonderful place to stay. Like heaters to dry the towels, a boot drying room, a pitcher of water for the room. If you want dinner Ann will cook for you too so you don't have to go out. I can't say enough about how how much we enjoyed the Inn.

Alpenrose is a wonderful low key inn very close to Stratton, Bromley & Magic Mountain ski areas. Comfortable and tidy bedrooms, a sizeable dining room where our host and innkeeper Anne served great breakfasts family style with a large sitting room/game room attached. After a full day of skiing we were happy to relax in the cozy living room on a comfy sofa and overstuffed chairs warmed by a wood burning stove and recount the days adventures and misadventures. If you're looking for a smaller relaxed inn in the southern Vermont vernacular close to good skiing this is the place. Delightful hosts, warm and friendly guests. And the cooking! Bravo

Anne and Dave epitomize the meaning of hospitality. This is no corporate veneer. They really go the extra mile to do things they don't have to. Anne's breakfasts and dinner are superb. The decor is gloriously kitshy. We were in a two-bedroom suite that had a huge living room & kitchen. Everything about Alpenrose is warm and cozy. I wish it wasn't so far from us.

My wife and I decided to take a last minute trip in early March, the snow was too good to pass up. I called Friday morning, packed the car and drove up that evening. Both the inn and room were very warm, inviting and comfortable on a very cold, snowy night. David and Anne are very welcoming and you immediately feel at home sitting by the fire chatting with them and the other guests. We skied Bromley and Stratton, the inn is very close to both. The breakfast was delicious and filling. David was full of great recommendations to avoid crowds. I STRONGLY recommend you stay for the family-style dinner (grab a bottle of wine in town first). The food is FANTASTIC and the experience eating with your hosts and the other guests will not soon be forgotten. I cannot say enough good things about the inn and its proprietors. PS. Just note they don't take credit card, so bring a checkbook.
