The inn is picturesque, nestling back against the road with the lake in view. The owners were very sweet, taking time to help us find a place for dinner and making us feel welcome. The home itself, is drop-dead gorgeous, and I wish we got to see what the grounds looked like - but we were up for only one day...

We spent a great weekend with Mo and Joe last September. They have a lovely place and create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. As hosts, they strike a perfect balance between respecting their guests privacy and also being delightful fun if invited to interact. The rooms are graceful and the grounds are beautifully maintained with lots of wildlife and a...

We enjoyed our one night stay at this quaint Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the Wyoming Room which is located above the "barn" and not in the main house. The main house is lovely. We choose this room because of the price point. It was a very private room, this area above the barn has two rooms. Although the...

The setting for this Inn is right on a pretty lake and when we were there the fall colors around the lake were beautiful. The Inn is nice and our room was very attractive. I really would have liked to have curtains on the windows however. Our room had windows that faced the main road with no curtains. The wood...

Thank you for the review. We enjoyed meeting you and are so happy you enjoyed your stay. You mentioned our breakfast. We give a full breakfast and each day it changes. One day it sweet and the next savory. We always serve a nice portion of fresh fruit along with your breakfast entree' which also includes muffins or scones on...

We planned a last minute weekend getaway and contacted Lake Salem B&B, a quick response was made and a room secured for Friday and Saturday night Aug16 & 17. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and shown our well appointed, roomy and private quarters. After a restful nights sleep we enjoyed all the fresh coffee we could drink along with...

We happened to be able to schedule a spur of the moment night away and were delighted to find Lake Salem Inn online. Jo and Mo were wonderful, attentive, warm hosts. We especially enjoyed sitting in the living room after dinner listening to their excellent collection of jazz by the fire while we enjoyed our BYOB wine. We stayed in...

I was on a trip to the Derby area, and had no idea where to stay. Some of the local motels were less than appealing. Lake Salem Inn was immediately inviting with its well manicured grounds and meticulously maintained buildings. I was met at the door by Joe, and was immediately made to feel at home. That speaks volumes, considering...

My husband and I recently stayed for a week at the Lake Salem Inn. It's a great way to experience the Northeast Kingdom. Mo and Jo have great advice and contacts. We stayed in the Wyoming Room. Very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were gourmet and there were often very interesting other guests to share the meal with. I would...

Cleanliness is more important to us than than just about anything else and Lake Salem Inn is spotless. Add to this an artfully designed B&B in a lovely setting right on the lake. We stayed in the Library Room and along with a very comfortable queen-size bed there was a delightful sitting area surrounded with lots of books. We had...

with a gourmet breakfast and clean and comfy room. We stayed for 5 nights and also had the opportunity of having dinner at the inn. Joe and Mo run a first-class operation and create a pleasant atmosphere to linger and chat with the innkeepers or other guests. A great location to explore the Northeast Kingdom from. Can't wait to go...
