Paula and Fritz are wonderful, gracious, friendly hosts. I traveled to Derby Line, VT from Hanover, NH for a 15 minute Global Entry application interview at 7:30PM. When I left Hanover, it was 38 degrees and dry. The further north I traveled, the worse the weather got. By the time I reached Derby Line, it was snowing/raining and the roads...

I had the privilege of Staying at the inn last night. It was an experience I won't soon forget. The owners Fritz and Paula could not have been more gracious and hospitable. The oom I stayed in was very charming and the entire Inn was decked out for the Christmas Holiday. The Bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast they...

My husband and I and some friends/family (5 couples) recently visited the Derby Line Village Inn. Owners Paula and Fritz Halbedl are incredibly warm and welcoming. There is so much charm in this inn. Fritz is an incredible chef who prepares the most delicious Austrian and German food. You will never be hungry. The apple strudel is a "must try";...

The Inn doesn't have but about 6 rooms. Didn't see other rooms, but ours was large and had everything necessary. The cleanliness could have been better and the room could have enjoyed some updating, but the hosts were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make it an enjoyable trip! Each morning, the cooked to order breakfasts...

We are hooked on this special place, tucked in a remote corner of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Perhaps it's the engaging smile that owner Heidi greets visitors and regulars with, without fail. Perhaps it is the nightly foray out of the kitchen made by executive chef / co- owner / husband / accordian player Fritz ( I just know he can...

This is not a restaurant to rush into for a quick meal as quality such as this takes time to prepare and deliver. If you are in a hurry, inquire first what might be best to order as otherwise you might be late for the curtain at the local opera house.

We stayed at the inn because of a meeting in Derby Line. I just wished we were there when the restaurant was open - the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday ngihts. The breakfast was fabulous, as a consolation. I would make the trip again just to experience the dinner. Paula and Fritz are fabulous hosts and helped us...

This is our first stay at a B&B and what a pleasant experience. Paula and Fritz Halbedl are genuine hosts that love what they do and they do it so well. Such a beautiful place, in picturesque Derby Line, right on the Canadian border. The food is excellent, and the rooms are not only comfortable but beautiful. We stayed in...

We found this B&B on trip advisor when planning our trip back home from vacationing in Maine. Paula greeted us and showed us to our room. She was very warm and welcoming. Our room was charming and comfortable, we chose it for the king bed and claw-foot tub (room 4) - perfect for relaxing after traveling all day. We had...

I spent one Wednesday night at the inn, having picked it through Trip Advisor. The place is lovely in a 1900s way, and the restaurant was hopping with what seemed to be all locals, which is an excellent sign. Vermonters can be picky, but about the inn side. The room had a curve to it and was quite pink but...
