We stayed in Room 2 which was adequate for a one-night stay Shower and bathroom were just OK (weak water pressure). Breakfast was included but was more limited than most B&Bs (no hot entree). Great location for shops in the village and walking distance to the Dorset Theater.

The Dovetail has the best view of Dorset green one could possibly have. The rooms, though slightly worn, are comfortable and have good beds and you feel like your staying with relatives, ..just as a Vermont B&B should be. The innkeepers are a charming couple we enjoyed chatting with over Jean's fresh baked continental breakfast. Most importantly, our dog Julian really...

We have stayed here 3 times when visiting Vermont. The rooms are clean, the prices are great, and you have an even better view of the Dorset Green than that fancy inn across the street. We always stay in a back room to avoid any road traffic. They do not have a restaurant, but from the ching you'll save on...

Very quaint B&B located in the heart of Dorset, a beautiful storybook town. The innkeepers were like visiting grandma & grandpa house. They make you feel right at home. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Prices extremely reasonable. It even has several sitting rooms, one with a fireplace; and a kitchenette stocked with cold drinks or hot tea & coffee....

My husband and I have been going to Dorset, VT for twenty years. We returned last Friday from a three night stay at the Dovetail Inn. We currently have two Border Terriers and have stayed with our dogs in all the dog friendly accommodations in Dorset. The Inn keepers Jean and Jim are very knowledgeable about the area and are...

We spent three nights at the Dovetail Inn in Dorset,VT over the 4th of July weekend. The inn sits across from the Dorset Green on Rte. 30. It is ideally located for anyone planning to attend a show at the Dorset Playhouse. While not as upscale as its neighbors, The Dorset Inn and The Barrows House, it offers location, location,...

Reasonable rate, especially for a holiday weekend. Friendly innkeepers. Cute, although lackluster "downtown" area right outside the door. Great launching pad for trips to Manchester and the surrounding area. No need to pay excessively high prices at fancier locations. Room was a good size, simple but comfortable. Would return.

The Dovetail Inn provides a great location for exploring a very picturesque area of Vermont, loaded with quaint villages, natural beauty, beautiful streams, great swimming holes, fine dining and most of all - relaxation when you want it. Jean & Jim Kingston do a great job of pampering to the needs of their guests. The rooms are spacious and well...

We stayed a night in Dorset at the Dovetail Inn. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, had a flat screen TV that we did not turn on and free wi fi. The innkeepers, Jim and Jean were incredibly hospitable. When Jean learned I was unable to contact the restaurant to confirm the evening's reservation, she called the place for...

Although we had to cancel our two reservawtions because of medical reasons there was no hesitation in returning our deposit. While making our reservation Jean gave us many tips about what to do in the area. Both she and Jim have a great sense of humor. We look forward to staying with them in the future.
