When in Island Pond you definitely pay to play, unfortunately you don't quite get the value for which you pay for. The room was very clean and of good size. Housekeeping was very thorough. Temps were well below freezing the nights we were there in January and the rooms are equipped with baseboard heaters that struggle to keep up. The... More

I grew up in Island Pond. Long before this motel was in place. I live in New York now. This motel is not a bed and breakfast. It is a place to hang my hat. Within thirty feet is a beautiful, clean lake. The setting sun, the loons making music, and the night sounds are worth every penny I spend.... More

Don’t be fooled by the name - this is not at all what you might think of as a Vermont Inn - it is a motel. We were heading up Island Pond to find some snow - to snowmobile - and thought we'd "treat" ourselves to a Vermont style Inn rather than some of the lesser priced lodging. Don’t let... More

Wonderful lakefront location. We stayed on the ground floor - I think it was #25. Our room was refurbished and everything was clean with relatively new furnishings and bathroom. Our only real complaint was the strong pine scented cleaner they use - but it vented out okay. No coffee.

We stayed at the Lakefront Motel as a stopover from our trip to Canada. We were in the motel part, up on the second floor. It's definitely your typical motel with it's outdated decor, carpeting that you wouldn't dare walk barefoot on, and nothing but the barest of necessities. I will say that it was extremely clean and the the... More

We stayed at the Lakefront Inn on a snowmobiling trip. At $135.00 a night for a "Standard" room it is a complete rip off. The room was clean, but everything inside yelled 1970's as it hasn't been updated since then, including the mattress! You'd be better off sleeping in your car as its more comfortable. The hotel lobby was never... More

Recently arrived in Island Pond, Vt while touring the Northeast Kingdom. Stopped at the Lakefront Inn & Motel since they showed a vacancy sign. Inquired about availability and the lady said she had one room but it was a smoking room. So I asked to look at it and when I stepped in the room, the smell was overwhelming and... More
