Classic no-frills ski lodge with Vermont charm. Most rooms share a hallway bath, although there is a private cabin available. Left a cooler by the front door for after skiing beers. They provide breakfast, with a decent amount of choices. The backdoor to Killington is just down the road. For a cheap place, it beats expectations easily. Recommended.

If you're used to hotel standards, this isn't for you. Think of this place as one huge house and the workers live there. It's more of a home feel when you ask for things (towels, plates, forks, soap, etc). This place has what you need... A cheap place to stay/sleep. That's it. If you go there paying $30/night, please don't...

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge. I arrived on a Sunday night, Dick checked me in and gave me the lay of the land. There were coolers outside chilling in the snow and people hanging out in the main room by the fire. I met some amazing people; making fast friends. The lodge is only a mile from...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night before skiing at Killington. The room we stayed in was cozy and clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The location was great, about 10-15 mins from Killington. The only downside was that the walls are a little thin, so when other people came in later we could hear them talking...

I stayed at Turn of River Lodge for three nights after Christmas with a large group of young adults. We had a great time! Our accommodations were on the lowest level with twelve bunks and a large bathroom. There were two large cubbies with two bunk beds in each and two bunk beds in a corridor. The bathroom had two...

This is a now hard to find classic Vermont Ski Lodge. The Living room couches & Huge fireplace are a great place to relax after swooshing down the slopes. Dorms or rooms, your choice all are simple and clean. Nice indoor Ski & Board rack to dry it all out ! The owner & staff are always glad to see...

No, this isn't a luxury hotel or a girly B&B. It's a ski lodge, and that's a good thing. The entrance is a little funky, I'll admit, with six packs of beer chilling on the stoop, but that's OK. The lobby has a big rack where people stash their skis and boards and dry their boots overnight, and a big...

Bait and switch stuck in a hole smells like Smokey donkey Kong on steroids, wind rips through the walls very cold balls. Trucks roar by all night. Steward up banging stairs at 4 am changing sheets of 25 rooms. Flushed the toilet and ran out of hot water, how'd they do that. Had to demand a key imagine that. Reservation...

Relatively affordable. We paid $85 a night, which I don't consider to be a fantastic deal. It was about a 15min drive to the mountain. Just a few miles from the Killington entrance. It's a lodge that has more single beds then rooms. Nice atmosphere, feels like you've rented a house with friends. Breakfast served in the main room, theres...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
For over 50 years, Turn of River Lodge has been welcoming guests to the Killington area. We have rooms with private or shared bath as well as bunk beds. Great fit for large family or group of friends, as well as for budget cautious singles. We are a family-owned and operated traditional Vermont ski or bike lodge/B&B with a warm, friendly, congenial atmosphere, providing affordable accommodations to skiers, snowboarders, bikers and all sport enthusiasts. We are conveniently located 2 minutes from the Killington Skyeship Base and 5 minutes from Bear Mountain, both of which provide easy parking and access to the entire Killington Ski Area. One of the most loved aspects of Turn of River Lodge is the Great Room and its huge stone hearth where our winter lodgers share their mountain experiences. As our guests come not only from all over the United States, but also from all over the world, the apres ski social gatherings make for lively conversations and fun times. We have ski/snowboard tuning room for those who prefer to work on their own equipment. A family style continental breakfast is served in the Great Room where guests partake at the large refectory table. A refrigerator is available for shared usage, as well as a microwave for guests who would like to heat up their own meals. ... more   less
