We're a family of 4 and picked the B & B because of the tripadvisor reviews. Nutshell: beds were clean. Rooms were tiny. We got a double room w/ 2 beds, Tyson Room. Bathroom was basically a pedistal sink in a closet; we could barely turn around in the shower. Hotel is very old w/ a semblance a of grandma's... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the inn. The staff was welcoming and went out of their way to help us with dinner reservations when we arrived late on our 1st night. We stayed in the black river suite which is roomy and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious especially the blueberry pancakes. Highly recommend for a quiet comfortable stay near... More

Am just back from having a 50th birthday gathering of cocktails, dinner, and an after-party at the Echo Lake Inn. There were 20 of us and it was absolutely perfect! Tom and Anne Marie were a dream to work with - incredibly hard working and responsive but easy going enough that even the planning part was fun. They took care... More

We had a wonderful time. The owner, Tom, is so warm and friendly. He made us feel like we were home. He was full of advice for site seeing and restaurants too. Our breakfast was delicious and our room had a comfortable bed with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub.

We chose the inn as we're from near Ludlow in the UK and this was Vermont's equivalent. The Inn looked a little homely and the room was maybe not as beautifully furnished as other inns we'd used in New England. We wondered what we'd let ourselves in for. Although the room was on the cool side, things warmed up and... More

This was a very nice little hotel. Unpretentious, yet nice enough. Owners/managers helpful and friendly. Well located in central Vermont. Great for sightseeing and foliage. The room and common areas are a bit old fashioned, but goes with the environment/area and gives it a certain charm. Great value price wise, as was really not expensive. There is a very nice... More

Excellent food in a cozy Vermont Inn. Apple parsnip bisque and duck with black plum sauce. Chef is very imaginative and local Vermont foods are highlighted. Well worth the visit as you travel scenic route 100.

Lovely friendly place for a wedding, we were there as guests at the wedding of family friends. Also it is comfortable, well organised, and good food. Our group enjoyed fishing and boating on the lake.

My husband and I were married in August of 2015. We could not asked for a better experience. The staff (specifically Neil, Kyle, and Tom) went above and beyond to make the entire weekend a memorable and effortless experience. From the moment we met with Neil to hand over our requests for the wedding ceremony and reception we felt taken... More
