A nice old Vermont inn with helpful staff and a comfortable feel. The main building preserves original features with careful updates to ensure guests' comfort. Breakfast offerings, which were included in our rate, were excellent and breakfast service was efficient. You can't beat the central location if you like to walk around.

The Middlebury Inn provides quality service from the pleasant and efficient staff to the clean rooms and comfortable beds. The location is convenient for those who want to explore the small town. The inn also has a lovely dining room as well as a sunny and spacious room where breakfast is offered.

The room was very clean. Loved the bathroom! Just admired the overall minimalist decor of the room! The bed was very inviting and comfortable. Stay was just marred by the unfriendliness of the front desk and restaurant crew.

We enjoyed two nights in this lovely historic inn. Staff is very friendly and helpful -- both at the inn and with local sites. Recently renovated inn tastefully captures the past. One of the owners spent time with us explaining the history of the hotel. Really enjoyed Fire and Ice and Two Brothers Tavern for dinners, as well as snacks...

Great location. Nice rooms. Awful service at mealtimes, although the food was good. It is very convenient for taking a campus tour of Middlebury College. Liked the historic look of the property. Suite was perfect for traveling with two teens.

Middlebury Inn had reasonable rates, very friendly service, and the perfect location for a visit to the college. The staff were great, room was clean and included a whirlpool tub. They provide a very nice afternoon tea, in a large, quaint and open lobby, and there is a day spa right next door.

Have been here several times, usually off season from the college. Although a bit dated, it is very well located and has nice rooms, good service, and decent food. The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable. The annex is very motel like; only recommend if you bring a pet. Otherwise you may be disappointed. Prefer rooms in main inn....

Ideal location for a parent to stay during Student Preview Days. Super convenient to town, restaurants, and campus. Room was clean. Watch out for the double speed bump in the middle of the parking lot; they're oddly placed.

We were here three nights while visiting Middlebury. The Inn was old and rambling and very Vermont, with hearty breakfast buffet (FYI: not included in the rate), fire places, and space downstairs for sitting. Great location, helpful staff, walking distance from shops and restaurants, ample parking. It was great. It is large and rambling....not a tiny B&B, which I hadn't...

I stayed at the Middlebury Inn after receiving a packaged gift for this Inn that also contained gifts for the Middlebury tasting trail. The first issue that i had with the hotel was that the employee working the desk at check-in was rather rude. She had a condesending attitude and was not very helpful. After asking her a simple question...
