We have a large family and visit our son at Norwich. The Woods have large accommodating rooms with comfortable beds and linens. The yard has a fire pit and chairs to relax and the restaurant and lounge area are very comfortable.

This is a great escape to the woods--very quiet and peaceful. The room was eclectic and rustic. Great location to visit a cadet at Norwich University. It was a little odd that we never saw the owners or any other people the entire trip.

We found the cottage by chance and we are very happy with the privacy and clean rooms. We plan on returning again next spring and we found the owner to be friendly with quick response to any questions

When you get to the Woods Lodge it will seem as thou you are far off in the country side but it is very cozy. I recommend a nice jog in the morning getting to see the river next to the road is a beautiful experience.

We loved thebeautiful gardens and relaxing setting. We especially enjoyed the nearby hike to the waterfall. The lodge we stayed in was very spacious and had a lot of great amenities for family vacations. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating! Thank you for having our family!

I really enjoyed the stay. The place is very natural, and despite your in a cabin, you feel all the nature around you.the staff is amazing, very welcoming and always ready to help.nthe cabins have a very traditional decoration but have all the necessary amenities.

Nice place to stay. nestled in the woods of Northfield. Good base to do outdoors stuff. 5 min drive or less to Norwich U. Owner is very nice, great cook....Places to eat in North field is quite limited, would be nice if her restaurant can do dinners for the entire week, at this time it is only Fridays.

Very cozy mini-apartment--awesome away from it all location. Good for family gathering. Peaceful and quiet; no light pollution, beautiful starry nights to be seen from here. Everything needed for a long weekend away in a country setting, surrounded by woods. Off the beaten path, but close enough to town to get needed supplies. Easy check in and check out.

Great accommodations. We had a very pleasant stay. The grounds are very nice and there's a lot do in the area. Beautiful this time of year. The service and food in The Lodge is terrific. We will definitely be staying there again.
