The last week of September and first week of October are the absolute best times to see fall colors. From Montreal, Canada, Hwy 93 through Vermont and New Hampshire is very scenic and beautiful! We were ready to stop when we got to the very quaint and historic town of Saint Johnsbury and found the Fairbanks Inn. A last minute...

We spend 3 days over Christmas to be near family and our room was clean and comfortable, with good wifi & cable, and a fridge & microwave. Heat was adjustable when temperatures dropped outside. Staff were friendly and helpful with directions and information. The grounds were well-kept (important with ice & snow around) and the hotel was quiet while still...

Arrived at the Fairbanks and was promptly greeted by a very friendly staffer at the desk. Key was a little funky but eventually worked..it always took multiple tries to get back in the room. Nice large room with clean bathroom and separate sink/ dressing area which i like. The carpet badly stained in many areas. TV remote would not function....

I stayed at the Fairbanks Inn for five nights during an extended photographic trip during the height of the northern New England fall color season this year. The inn has very large, very well-appointed, very quiet rooms and is conveniently located on US-2, right off I-91. Everything worked exactly as it should have. The Wi-Fi was reliable and speedy; I...

Very expensive even considering time of year. No breakfast, had to ask for assistance with luggage. No discounts available. Beds comfortable. Room clean. Balcony pleasant. Check in staff nice. Another woman on cell phone not very pleasant. ..not sure of title. No introduction or name tag. Her attitude was take it or leave it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We are happy to have a relationship with a local diner just minutes away for breakfast, and we offer Green Mountain Coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24 hours a day in our lobby. I'm glad that you found the room to be clean and comfortable and that you...

This hotel is probably closer to a 2 star than a 3 star hotel. The price was very reasonable compared to a 3 star hotel that was a little closer to the interstate. The woman at the front desk was very friendly, and the room had a nice view across a green lawn and into trees that were beginning to...

We found this place by chance, and were very glad we did. Friendly staff with good knowledge of the area (and the hotel's name...) The rooms face away from the road, and are enormous, quite the biggest we had on our long road trip. Would have been happy to stay longer if we hadn't had a wedding to attend elsewhere.

Before booking the night, I made a few calls to the hotel about pets, amenities and location. All of my questions were answered cheerfully by friendly staff. The fee was a bit higher than other area hotels, but they are pet friendly and for an additional twenty-five dollars, I brought the dog. The cost per night was just under two...

This is the best property we have been fortunate to stay in on our cross country trip. We are a military family and have made several cross country road trips. While on vacation, most lodgings for us are really just a place to sleep after we've spent the day doing outside things. We actually enjoyed spending a bit more time on the premises after other plans fell through. The rooms were spacious and the grounds immaculate.
