Clean and comfortable. Flat screen TV, fridge, and microwave. Delicious, homemade coffee cake and coffee in the office in the morning. Took a little time for the shower to warm up. Be careful if driving on Route 7A at night- we encountered deer along the road side.

This is a very cute and cozy Vermont motel not far from Bennington. The rooms are small but nothing is missing - a very comfortable bed, flat screen tv, wifi, a decent size fridge and microwave. The bathroom is on the small side but very clean. There was also a coffee maker but we had coffee from the office with...

Stayed there in Sept. for two nights. Very clean and close to all the sights to see in Bennington. The owners were very nice and told us about the best places to eat and visit. If we find ourselves back in Vermont we would stay there again. TTwereverwerveryv

This small motel is fine if a little basic. There was a shower in the bathroom but no bath tub. The nearest facilities are a 15 minutes drive away so be prepared if you are self catering. The room was clean and adequate with a microwave and coffee making facilities.

Had a great weekend stay, close to Bennington, just 6 miles south, and Manchester just to the north, clean, nicely decorated, good shower, comfortable bed, we will definetly stay here again, there was a nice place to sit out front to have a glass of wine to unwind .

If you are going to the area for a couple of nights, this is a great place to stay. The King size bed is large, firm, and clean. The bathroom is tiny but serviceable and the AC is cold. Best of all, it is good value for the money and the owners are very nice.

Just like others said the place was clean. It's a suitable place for the price and for a few night stay. The room was small and I couldn't see fitting more than 2 people comfortably or staying there for a week. With that said, I would stay there again if I am in the area.

Liked this cute old style motor-lodge a lot . Peaceful country setting but still close enough to Bennington to be convenient to food . Room was small but very clean and fresh. Good value for the area.

The room was out of a country curtains catalog. Decorated with care and thought. We had a room with a queen bed but there was also a love seat, micro, fridge, flat screen TV. Shower no bath. Real homey feel park by your door. Country rather than city setting. Clean. Quiet. Back from road. Only negative was the wifi connection...

Governor's Rock offers the weary traveler a clean and tidy room, thoughtfully appointed, in the best tradition of a motel. The friendly proprietor welcomed us when we arrived. Nice touches abounded in a room that proved to be just big enough -- even with two double beds, it held two chairs, a dresser, a desk, hanging space for clothes, a...
