The lodge was beautiful, such a serene view of the mountains outside. Lovely indoor pool that we had to ourselves. Professional staff and excellent. When I realized our room had down duvets and pillows (we have a down allergy in my party) the staff immediately came to the room, packaged the down pillows and duvets in plastic bags so the...

Really nice stay with the family. Even if you're not a fan of the movie this place is a lovely instead of the other different hotels as this one has a great deal of inequalities to it that you're not going to find that your everyday courtyard or Marriott or Hilton. My only recommendation is to make sure that you...

We came expecting to stay only two nights, but was so captivated by the very friendly and helpful staff, and spacious, comfortable and clean room that we extended our stay to four nights. We had a room with a small balcony that overlooked the mountains and found the atmosphere very quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the hiking available on...

I grew up as a fan of the Sound of Music, and I have even seen some of the sights in Salzburg. I was excited to visit the Trapp Family Lodge with my mom - who is a HUGE fan of the Sound of Music story. All around, it was a disappointing experience. There were pieces of memorabilia around that...

We were here for only one night and if the amount of things that went wrong in 24 hours is anything to go by then perhaps it's an indication of how this hotel has let its standards slip. We arrived to complete darkness as there was some sort of power outtage or they were testing things and turned the power...

Dear greenladybourne, First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the myriad of issues you encountered during your stay. This is unacceptable and not up to our standards. I do see that you stayed with us in September of 2014, and the reason for the power outage was due to work that was being done in the town of...

My family is very well traveled and we've stayed at everything from cheap, dirty motels to high-end resorts. For us, it's all about getting what you pay for. So when we went to Trapp's for a wedding and paid nearly $300 a night, we expected a $300 a night experience. However, The place was built in 1983 and it felt...

This family lodge is everything you'd expect from Vermont and from the iconic von Trapp family! We went during a fairly busy time, but I did not feel like the place was overrun or chaotic. It had a nice, cheerful, bustling feel with visitors from various parts of the country as well as from overseas. You had downhill skiers, cross-country...
