Rooms described at booking as having lovely views of trees instead looked out on car park. Property had litter and no groomed trails for walkers, leading to dangerous, icy footing. Engineering called my room after 10pm looking for the source of "beeping" which was no where near my room. Restaurant lost our booking. Electric car chargers weren't working. Spa had overflowing waste bins. On the upside, the room itself was very spacious and I appreciate that the hotel welcoms dogs.

Perfect winter getaway for couples or families. Excellent food options at on-site restaurants. Many activities to keep you busy even if not a skier. Heated pool and hot tub with snow surrounding was very relaxing. Special dinner at Tipsy Trout with Chef Will Gilson was the highlight of the trip.

Don't want to sound too nit-picky but we had stayed here before. We were completely satisfied with our first trip. This one was filled with delays, excessive wait times, and an overall lack of pride. The lobby area was so disgustingly dirty and every table had waste, i finally went to the concierge to get some housekeeping service and he said it really wasnt his job. It's stuff like that, that will make me look for alternative rental properties.

Great place, although its very expensive $ 17.00 for a glass of wine, be prepared, other then that its beautiful, clean and nice break. Vermont has alot to see, not just the resort. its definatley 5 star. The rooms were spotless, theres a outdoor heated pool that was beautiful!

Arriving after hours was a bit chaotic since the skeleton crew was trying to do everything from checking in , to valet, to not being able to help with luggage. Rest of the long weekend was fine and in property restaurants and spa were good

My husband and I had a wonderful ski vacation here! The level of service at the lodge is next to none. What we really like is that upon arrival we could relax, while the helpful staff unpacked our car and brought luggage up to our room and ski equipment to the ski valet. Everything was fast and smooth and the staff are very friendly and professional throughout. We also had really nice dining experiences as well. This is not a place for people who are on a budget or looking for a bargain, but we certainly found the experience to be worth every cent we paid.

If proximity to the mountain is your solitary concern, then The Lodge at Spruce Peak is perfect. Being able to sleep in and then roll out to the mountain (after collecting your skis at the super convenient Ski Valet) was a great experience – especially for us having kids in Ski School (who had a set time to arrive and were too young to yet be good at carrying their own gear). Other than that, The Lodge at Spruce Peak doesn't have much to carry its hefty price tag (to be fair, I have not yet comparison shopped pricing of other local accommodations – but if you could save $$$ for the trade-off of a 10-15 minute drive – I would). If you are traveling as a family of four, you can't book a base room because they can't guarantee 2 double beds – you could instead end up with 1 king bed, so you'll already need to upgrade. We ended up being upgraded again upon check-in to a one bedroom room, which seemed great until we discovered the bedroom mattress was unbelievably firm – not very comfortable. We also found the front desk to be very misinformed about basic information (hours for The Pantry, information about dining at the top of Mt. Mansfield, location of Ski School check-in), which was quite frustrating. And at check-out, make sure to review your hotel folio – we were charged FIVE extra times for valet parking. Also, try not to get too irritated by the Resort Fee (unless you used the gym a lot – we never went because we were SKIING) and the previously undisclosed "Community Assessment Fee". The location IS great but keep your expectations in check for a very pricey hotel – and maybe bring some camp pads to sleep on.

The hotel’s design effortlessly blends modern luxury with timeless elegance. The accommodations surpassed all expectations, offering spacious rooms equipped with every conceivable comfort. The staff members were consummate professionals, catering to my every need with warmth and efficiency. Its prime location provided easy access to the slopes, village and kids activities allowing me to explore with ease before returning to the tranquility of my privacy. Cleanliness and maintenance were impeccable throughout my stay, every area of the hotel was meticulously maintained. While the experience at The Lodge at Spruce Peak certainly comes with a premium price tag, I can confidently say that it is worth every penny.

Spruce Lodge is always a great time. Food is good, swimming pool is nice, and skiing is great. Unfortunately, during our last visit we found a cockroach in our room. It was disgusting. Housekeeping did not come that day to tidy up our room. For over $1000 a night , not acceptable.

beautiful scenery, treated very well by all of the staff, they help you with all your luggage to and from your room and your greeted the second you pull your car in. they have a changing area for your ski/snowboard gear where you can also check in your gear in that room so you don’t have to bring your boots and gear up and down from your room all the time. they check in and hold your snowboards/ skis as well and bring them out every morning so no need to put them in your room or car. You can take a gondola ride right to the main mountain and there’s also a fun beginner mountain about a minute walk right on the resort that is a blast even for the more experienced riders. Highly recommend this place to anyone for a relaxing vacation even if you don’t ski or ride it’s a beautiful little town to stay at with places to shop and eat right in the resort.
