Stayed here with my wife and two kids (4yrs and 7yrs). Had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. After skiing/snowboarding all day we came back to our room to clean up and for a quick rest before going out to dinner. Our room was suddenly engulfed by a very strong stench of marijuana. It completely took over the room to the point...

Perhaps Black Bear has seen better days. For the price, the location and shuttle are the really good points. We were assigned room 210, a handicapped-accessible room on the lower floor. If you do not need an accessible room, request another - there is no shelf or counter in the bathroom (more inconvenient than we imagined), so no place to...

The hotel assigned us a room next to a stairway and after hearing the banging within minutes we went back to the counter and asked to be moved to another room. I politely informed them that I would not be able to sleep with the noise. So they moved us to another room, right under a different staircase. 6 hours...

Great trip to Stratton, but was married by this place, went to the counter after a long day of skiing & driving, and their host Jeane-do, was very rude & acted like she couldn't be bothered??? I figured she was having a bad day. I let it go Next morning, the continental free breakfast and the one with charges wasn't...

My husband and I wanted to plan a quick ski day before we stayed in Manchester. I was looking for something budget friendly but also close to the ski lifts and that's what we got. No frills motel... but the best part is the shuttle and proximity to town. A five minute walk tops or hop on the continuous shuttle...

Ok for a budget hotel for a ski trip with friends. Not a romantic get away by any means. Below the stands for the wife and kids. Very old room but generally clean. Very close to the slopes and restaurants at Stratton Mountain.

We stayed for a quick weekend and the hotel fit our needs perfectly as it was priced right. The main issue was the exit door and every room door SLAMS. I can still hear the ringing in my ears from these loud door slams. Our room was at the end of the hall by an exit door which was constantly...

Hotel was adequate. It did its job for the price we paid. However, the mornings were awful! Slamming doors (both exit and individual rooms) was constant. Fix the exit door please! Not only that, but the cleaning staff was loud and obnoxious beginning at 8am. For those that are late risers you will not get sleep!!! Will not go back...

PROS: Frequent shuttle service to village, restaurant on site with bar and continental breakfast included) or reasonable hot breakfast, clean comfortable rooms, nice staff at front desk. CONS: Some rooms require multiple stairs/long walks without elevator when lugging your own bags, this is not a full service hotel. Not enough hooks or shelves for ski equipment. Lobby is nice, would...
