What a discovery. I wanted to give Dorothy a little getaway for her birthday. Saw a brief article on Rosemont manor in a place named Berryville Va. life long residents of D.C. But had no idea where berryville was. Here two nights. What a gem. Estate is spectacular. 60 acres of rolling countryside. Maintained and landscaped beautifully. Staff unbelievably friendly....

What a great find in a beautiful area of Virginia. The proprietor was friendly and gave a great summary of the property and its history. The rooms set up for the tea were lovely and the teas and food were really great. All in all it was a great experience, recommend it highly!

We only stayed one night as we were doing a 7 day road trip around Virginia and DC but was the best service and accommodation we experienced during our holiday. Excellent service all round from the receptionist to the host at breakfast. We loved the attention to detail in the rooms but also food.

Best Tea I have been to this side of the pond! The sandwiches were yummy, the tea was excellent and the tour was fascinating. Loved hearing the historical significance of the property. The service was excellent, the proprietor extremely friendly and a good storyteller. At first I thought the sandwiches, scones and dessert were skimpy, but...I did not leave there...

The inn is beautiful and the grounds are breathtaking. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We were greeted with a snack tray and glass of wine, upon our arrival, which was very nice. The rooms are all well appointed and clean. If you are looking for more space, be sure to book a suite as the standard guest rooms...

We booked the Byrd's Nest cottage to get away from all the election bullcrap and had a nice couple of days. The property was very quiet, except for the occasional train at 3 am, but there isn't much you can do about that other than roll over and go back to sleep. The cottage has a nice fireplace, and a...

Although I was unable to book due to a management mishap and was initially quite frustrated, the owner of the Rosemont Manor made a point to call me personally and apologize. That says quite a bit about the kind of people doing business there, and meant a lot to a frustrated bride. Despite the reservation error, this kind of personalized...

So, my review is rather late. I stayed there in July, but I went back again three weeks later (Aug. 2016) with my family. That's how much I enjoyed my stay last time. Rosemont Manor is the ideal getaway for those who seek simplicity, quiet, and comfort. The place is absolutely gorgeous! I kid you not. It is breathtaking. The...

If you love history, or want a quiet, romantic weekend, this is the place for you. It is about an hour to an hour and a half from Washington; perfect for a weekend escape.
