Located at the foot of the Blue Ridge, about 20 minutes drive west of Bedford, VA, this B&B is a very comfortable and charming place to stay. The owners, Sally and Kevin, welcomed my husband and I as if we were old friends and we felt instantly at ease. The surroundings are so quiet with amazing views of the nearby Terrapin Mountain and offer a glimpse of the wildlife such as rabbit and deer. Each morning, Sally prepared a delicious breakfast with fresh produce. Our room with a king-size bed was very comfortable and quite large with high ceiling and very private since the top floor is occupied by only 2 guest bedrooms. Plants and flowers all over the house and bedrooms create a homey ambiance and Sally's artistic stained glass creations and other handmade items add a whimsical touch to the whole place. Surrounded by natural beauty and being pampered by attentive owners, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We left this B&B refreshed : We'll be back.

Located at the foot of the Blue Ridge just 20 minutes west of Bedford, VA, this B&B offers a very quiet and charming location with gorgeous views on the nearby Terrapin Mountain. The owners, Sally and Kevin, made us feel immediately at ease by their warm welcome. The house is amazing with plants and flowers all over, in and out, and Sally's artistic decor of stained glass and other handmade items adds a lovely whimsical touch. The bedroom we stayed in, the Terrapin, is very large with high ceiling and a semi log cabin feel and the king-size bed was very comfortable. We had a great breakfast, prepared fresh each morning by Sally. Ideally located for outdoors activities, charming country towns, stores and restaurants, this is the place to be for a wonderful and relaxing vacation! We'll be back.

My best friend and I absolutely loved this as a rest spot after a day of hiking. It is surrounded by natural beauty: mountains, bunnies, deer, and the fireflies at night were so fun to watch. Miss Sally was very welcoming and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. If I'm back in the area, will definitly stay again!

We loved this place! Sally is an artist, and her creativity and imagination are everywhere in this inn. There are just two rooms for rent, both large, and they are separated by a hallway balcony that extends over the living area downstairs, so this is a perfect inn for safe social distancing. Sally has two separate dining areas for breakfast, too. We also enjoyed the table and comfy chairs on the deck that overlooks the fields and woods. We had thought Big Island is a town in which we'd find this B&B. But it turns out Big Island is just a crossroads, and this inn is located a couple miles out, off another mile or so from the main road out into the woods. So it's very quiet and secluded. We loved the peacefulness, the artistry of the decor, and Sally's big-hearted friendliness. She even brought us brownies and banana bread from her book club meeting! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Thank you for sharing your observations about your visit to Cedar Post Inn Bed & Breakfast. I appreciate that you enjoyed seeing my "Whimsical" glass creations and noticed the fun I have decorating the B&B, including both guest rooms and the rest of the shared areas, inside and out. The deck and the front porch are such peaceful places to just sit and enjoy a quiet time, maybe with the morning cup of coffee (or tea). Hope that you can come for another visit.
