My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Inn over a long weekend last month in January, in Room 18 of the 'cottage.' Only two rooms remained free at time of booking, so I opted for the cottage instead of the main house to hopefully gain more quiet. The first thing all should know is 'cottage' is a bit...

We stayed at this Inn for our celebration. It was wonderful. Beautiful old home in downtown Charlottesville. Stayed in a suite Room 9. It was perfect. 2 fireplaces one in the bedroom and in the sitting room. Warm and cozy. Staff were exceptional. Arrived and went to the wine and cheese reception you are allowed to take to your room...

This is a very nice place to spend a night or 2 in Charlottesville VA. It consists of 2 buildings, and the rooms are charming and comfortable. Wine and snacks are served before the dinner hour, and breakfast is very nice and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My husband and I spent three nights in late December at the Inn, specifically in Room 3 of the main house. It is on the lower level but still had large windows and a cozy gas fireplace. The Inn is not "plush" in any way--it's old and more casually furnished, especially in the main public areas. I could say that...

My husband and I came here for a quick getaway and stayed 2 nights. This was our first experience staying at a B&B and our first visit to Charlottesville. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we had made the right decision. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Fresh cookies are available all the time, can't...

I made my reservation on the advice of a relative at the last minute. I was fortunate to get a room and even more fortunate to get a suite with a bedroom AND a sitting room (room 9). The beautiful building was a short walk to the mall which has great restaurants and stores. The room was very clean and...

Everything about South Street in was great. The reservation process online was very easy, and I was able to pick my own room by looking at photos. Some friends who also stayed there called in their reservation found the reservation desk to be very accommodating. Upon arrival we were attended by a young man named Everett, who offered us fresh...

Great friendly inn in an extremely central downtown Charlottesville location. As they were not fully booked we upon asking were upgraded, by the forthcoming hostess, to a room with a cozy fireplace. Not necessary for heat but to add further southern comfort.

Very nice staff, helpful with recommendations and attentive. The place is old, clean quiet, and feels like a perfect place to stay to explore the history of this town. Breakfast of fresh baked breads, yogurt, cereals, juice and the newspaper. I spent a lot of time out on the porch working with good wifi, and a quiet atmosphere for writing....
