We were a large family group in town for a memorial service. Kathy Brown was absolutely wonderful in arranging rooms for all of us at a great rate. She also arranged a room for our group gathering, beautifully set up with tables set, coffee, drinks, etc.

Just happened to find the hotel and we were glad we did. As good as or better than chain hotels we've used in the past. The buffet breakfast was decent though the server was a little late getting all the food out.

We stayed for two nights. Used the pool which was very nice. Complementary breakfast was very good. Pancakes were delicious. Cookies and tea in the afternoon were very welcome. In a good location with lots of restaurants in the area.

The room was clean and quiet but worn. Staff was helpful but no one was overly friendly. Others have commented on the breakfast but it was just a typical buffet style breakfast. The exterior is dark. There are probably better places to stay

We have stayed here a dozen times. What a value.. Great location, price, service and and the best breakfast. I would recommend the English Inn to anyone. Charlottesville is a tremendous city to visit. Wine, food beer, cider, distilleries. Fun, fun, fun.

My husband I like staying here when we spend a night in Charlottesville. Perfect location and unique. Friendly staff, coffee tea and cookies, rooms could use updated decor but overall it's great and reasonably priced.
