Took a shot and hit the bullseye! Good location for all you want to do and see in the area. Clean! Very friendly and helpful staff! Good, hot breakfast with all typical offerings (fruit, yogurt, muffins, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, etc) and hot coffee available 24/7. Our room was a King with Sofa Bed - almost the size of 2 typical hotel rooms! While not cleaned every day during our stay (that's a thing of the past) fresh towels were offered and a quick housekeeping visit was done daily. We travel often, and closest to a return to the 'olden days' when the room was 'done up' daily we have experienced. Every staff member we encountered was professional and friendly. One elevator, but all that was needed and worked efficiently. The indoor pool was incredibly clean, with towels available poolside. It was refreshing after a long day at Monticello! BTW, GO TO MONTICELLO! Don't have to be a 'history nerd' to appreciate it and to enjoy! Planning a trip to the area in the Spring and will return here!

Hotel's Favourite
I decided to take a weekend getaway and this was the hotel I chose to stay at for the weekend. Let me just say, the staff here is the absolute best. From my initial phone call to make my reservation, James was patient, accommodating and friendly, even over the phone, even at 1am in the morning. On the day of arrival, I called the hotel to let them know I was on my way and Gloria answered the phone. She is phenomenal! When I arrived to check in she remembered my voice from the previous call. Gloria is warm, welcoming, accommodating, hospitable, friendly, professional and full of personality! She is truly an asset to your team. The next morning when I came down for breakfast, I met Dawn and Barbara! Both ladies were professional, kind, friendly and accommodating! As someone who use to work in hospitality, I know genuine hospitality when I experience it. Thank you James, Gloria, Dawn and Barbara for making my stay AMAZING!!!! I pray you ALL ARE REWARDED FOR YOUR AWESOMENESS!!! To the GM of this property, please take care of them, because they took care of me and your other guests!!!! Remain safe and keep shining the the STARS you are!!!!! All the Best, Edward from Richmond

This place is old and outdated for the money...Smells clean, but lacks deep cleaning-must buy a lot of air freshener! Stains everywhere and no compassion to customers at all...An associate named Dawn was amazing-she should go somewhere else to work in the area (too many better places around)...Too many places in the area are better for the same money...I do not like to leave bad reviews, but this place does not understand customer service....S

Our stay was pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the shower pressure was solid, and the breakfast was hot. The hotel could use an update/refresh but that didn’t detract from our stay. There were a few restaurants nearby when we stayed, but they were closed when we arrived (9 PM on a Friday).

Easy access from I-64. Staff was courteous. Large dining area. Food was acceptable for a hotel. If a traveler wants a gourmet meal, then go to a real restaurant! Stayed in nice King suite. Room was clean. Not much noise (located on 2nd floor across from elevator). There were no facial tissues in room, just an empty box holder. One small trash can in bathroom, none in main living area. Close to Monticello and downtown Charlottesville. Near retail shops (next to Burger King). Area around hotel seemed safe. Would stay again.

The Sleep Inn off route 64 solves a basic problem of a place to sleep. Emphasis on basic. However, the hotel looks like too many rock bands have used it as a crashing and party pad. Boy does it need a thorough cleaning, paint and refurbishing job. Grateful that it does have a laundry room, but the grungiest machines ever. Rock band must have used them after a year on the road. Breakfast is make-your-own waffles, rubber scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, bagels, yogurt, bananas. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and can’t see anyone staying for more than a night. If you are concerned about Covid cleanliness, heck, about cleanliness, go somewhere else.

Obviously older hotel with new paint. Hallway carpet was dingy. Room carpet had food (cake, donut??) embeded in it otherwse beds/bathroom seemed clean. It was full to the rafters with road/construction workers. High point was an actual full hot breakfast.

The location is convenient to visiting Monticello and was the sole reason why we chose this hotel. The other plus was the breakfast was good. The hotel & room needs some major attention. The hot tub was broken and sounded like it had been broken for a VERY long time. The toilet didn't stop running, the rug was VERY dirty, the desk chair had some unknown stains on it, the tv every 20-30 minutes would get static & lines running through it, the mattress pad/bedding needed a thorough cleaning, the room/hotel just had an overwhelming feeling of not being clean. We only stayed one night.

Water in pool was cold. Hot tub was literally empty. Room carpet was dirty. The room smelled. Walls had gross dirt. Only good thing was a solid breakfast. None of the personnel seemed friendly or happy. I would definitely not recommend this.

Most C'ville hotels are charging $350/night on football weekends, so I decided to take a flyer on the Sleep Inn at $200/night. The room was clean and more than adequate for my purpose, which was simply having a place to sleep after an active day with fellow alumni. The motel was also located a very short drive from Scott Stadium, which was convenient. The breakfast bar was not bad--freshly cooked eggs and decent bacon with other amenities. For a 2 star motel the Sleep Inn was pretty decent and I'd probably stay there again when I go to a UVA home game.
