Very expensive B&B that did not include a prepared breakfast or maid service while there. We were required to cook our own eggs and clean dishes, oh and make own bed if we wanted it made. We were comfortable, but will likely never stay here again. Owner is very nice and leaves you to your privacy.

Hi Tony, I am sorry that you were disappointed with the type of B & B experience that we offer. Your friends Bob and Susan made your reservation for the two adjoining rooms and I guess that they didn’t share completely what made our B & B unique. We emphasize privacy, cleanliness, large and comfortable, fresh eggs, home baked bread... More

We loved staying at Rooster Hill. We were fortunate to have great weather for our visit to Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Having a warm, comfortable room to come back to made our trip all the more enjoyable. We had everything we needed. The kitchenette was great for fixing our breakfast of fresh eggs and homemade bread. There was... More

Rooster Hill was very appealing to us with its eclectic furnishings and the spacious, comfortable rooms. It was almost two weeks of lovely country living, with fresh eggs and bread for the morning breakfast. The owner, Larry, was both helpful and considerate, coming to our rescue in the night after we misplaced the key. Again, Larry came to the rescue... More

We so much enjoyed our two nights at Rooster Hill. It is tucked away, secluded off of a country road, yet in the middle of all that we love about the eastern Blue Ridge foothills and the Charlottesville area. Restaurants, Crozet and Harris Teeter are 10 minutes away. We hope we can stay again soon. Thanks for a great weekend,... More

This bed and breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Very roomy and comfortable with all of the conveniences of home. We were provided with delicious home made bread and farm fresh eggs for breakfast. It was perfect.

We had family coming to town from Maine and wanted them to experience the beauty of the Charlottesville area. Rooster Hill was the perfect location to stay. There were two separate, nicely decorated, very clean apartments including a trundle bed in one apartment for extra guests. You could tell how much care the owners took in building their home. We... I enjoyed the tranquility and spaciousness of Rooster Hill, farm fresh eggs for breakfast, and took some excellent walks in the area. I was delighted to find a sustainable home with a solar installation installed by the owner himself, and a level 2 ev charger on the premises. The house was built with every attention to natural temperature control and... More

Rooster Hill is a small, quiet, secluded, and picturesque old house set well back from the rural road. The two apartments we used (apartments because the units are more like studio apartments rather than rooms) open directly to the outside--car parking right at the door--and have pleasant amenities and furnishings. We could have lived there for a week and been... More

We stayed at Rooster Hill this weekend for a family wedding. We wanted to find someplace between the wedding venue at UVA and the reception at Veritas Vineyard in Afton and we found the perfect spot. Rooster Hill is close enough to get a great meal in under a 15 minute drive but feels like you are in the country.... More

If you want to feel as if you're staying with family, this is the place to go. A little off the beaten path, it's worth it for the privacy and the service. A comfortable and affordable Bed & Breakfast.
