I largely picked this B&B based on the reviews left by other visitors here on trip advisor. I must say they are very accurate and I was not disappointed at all. We stayed in room #2 which was very clean and well maintained. The grounds were well maintained and the chickens were a joy to visit and feed. Larry and...

We spent the weekend at Rooster Hill and thoroughly enjoyed this bed and breakfast. Larry was very helpful with ideas for hiking, excursions and dinner. He left several local papers so we could see what was going on in the area. The room was great with a private entrance, sitting area, comfortable bedding, stocked kitchenette and cute bathroom. The first...

Our room at the Rooster Hill B&B was immaculately clean, and it was a very large, serviceable space offering a sitting area, a dining area, and a good-sized bathroom. We were delighted that there was no television; the innkeepers work hard at keeping their grounds beautifully maintained, and they provide many books and brochures/directions/pamphlets about the Charlottesville area. They have...

Our family of three stayed in the lower larger room, and found it very comfortable. Our daughter particularly enjoyed collecting eggs from the hens, and watching the new chicks. Larry was a welcoming but not hovering host - made sure we had everything and then gave us our privacy. It is about a 20 min drive from Charlottesville or Monticello....

A friend and I stayed at Rooster Hill for a weekend when there were no rooms available in Charlottesville proper. We were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful atmosphere, the clean and well-appointed room, and the wonderful home-baked bread, jam, and fresh eggs for breakfast. The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is that we could hear people upstairs...

My husband and I stayed at this bed and breakfast recently for a weekend getaway to Charlottesvile and we absolutely loved it! We were looking for a quiet place and this was perfect for what we wanted. It's secluded but not too far away from the city to where you can't enjoy the attractions of Charlottesville. Our hosts were absolutely...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Rooster Hill during our long weekend stay in Virginia. The location of this B&B is wonderful if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet still be close enough to attractions such as the Monticello, the Blue Ridge mountains and the numerous wineries in the area. Larry and...

We visited over Veterans Day wkend for a wedding at one of the local wineries. This location was only 10 mins away compared to the hotel block in Charlottesville at 20 mins. We chose Rm 1 (the larger one) as there were 3 in our party. Plenty of space and nicely decorated. We appreciated that we were able to come...

The B&B was so cute and peaceful. A great value, and we were in town at the peak of fall foliage. Just gorgeous. Larry built the house by hand, and the two guest rooms are two years old, from what he told me. But they felt and smelled brand new. My boyfriend and I got to enjoy downtown Charlottesville, Monticello...

I would have given this all '5's' except for the location. After a week in DC I knew I wanted the kind of peace and quiet a country location offers, but this is a bit out of the way for some travelers, about 15 miles west of Charlottsville in the most lush and beautiful woodlands and rolling hills you will...
