Bob was so helpful in guiding on the lovely walk from the Inn to Monticello. The breakfast was delightful and mingling with the guests and meeting Mikey was also worth the stay. The room was clean and comfortable.

Thank you for your note, and we will let Mikey know he has new fans! Just yesterday he got a new "foster" sister who is with us for a while awaiting adoption. She is a chihuahua, and Mikey has learned to share his space very nicely. We think he prefers hosting human guests!

This antique house had East Lake furnishings, gingerbread decorations, and a large pleasant front yard with mature trees. It is across the street from Monticello with a road off of the main highway (or a very steep hiking trail) to get there. The owners and staff are nice and friendly. The room was large with an adequate bathroom, but the...

Thanks so much for your review. We're sorry you found things were lacking and didn't tell us about them while you were here. We always strive to learn from any guest that has suggestions or input about their room. We're not sure if you were aware, but the house was actually built in 1860 - and it is definitely not...

Inn is conveniently located to Monticello and a number of highly rated eateries in the area. Greeted and well received; informed of the amenities in the Inn and its location in relation to Monticello and local restaurants. Guests should know when staying in the Washington Room that bathroom access is outside the room. Not a problem for us but guests...

We hope for guest feedback while the guest is still here, at least for issues that we can control, like breakfast. Over the time this guest stayed with us we had a number of special requests and dietary needs that were relayed ahead of the reservations. For example: we made breakfast for a vegan, a gluten free and nut-free guest,...

We spent four days at this lovely inn. Carolyn and Bob were excellent hosts and very helpful in recommending restaurants. The rooms at the inn are tastefully decorated with period furnishings. The breakfasts were excellent. The grounds of the inn are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this charming inn. Hope to return in the future! Thank you, Carolyn and...

We spent two days in this breathtaking scenic area near the Shenandoah National Park. The Bed and Breakfast was charming and furnished in period decor. The owners were very hospitable and every detail met our expectations. Each room has remodeled private bathrooms as well.. We would definitely return.

Long before we arrived until the moment we left, my girlfriend and I felt like we were with family. Carolyn and Bob are wonderful hosts. The home is over a 100 years old. Each room is unique and pristine in its own way. We stayed in the "Adams Room". Everything in the house is done in good taste and attention...

I read an article by a travel writer complaining that all hotels provide only one suitcase stand even though guests normally have more than one suitcase.. At the Inn at Monticello our host helped us to our room with our cases. Bob put one of the cases on a suitcase stand and proceeded to unfold a second stand for our...

Thanks for mentioning the luggage stands! It's an art to find good ones that can survive a suitcase that is fueling a 3 week US tour! We are glad you stayed with us and found things so enjoyable.

My business trip to Charlottesville recently was a pleasure! I happily found myself assigned to the cottage, a nice getaway on their property. It had all the amenities I could ever think of... most importantly, coffee for the morning. Breakfast was delicious - I didn't take photos, but the conversation at the table with the other guests was so enjoyable...
