This B&B was very pleasant if a little worn. The owners were very nice and welcoming and were obviously institutions in the community. The breakfast was superb (ask for the mexican eggs). Very accommodating with respect to room selection and requests for fans. They also transported our luggage to our next location as we were on bikes.

My husband and I stayed at the Channel Bass Inn for our 5 year anniversary in May of 2016. We stayed in two different rooms (Scarborough and Topcliffe) over an extended weekend. Both rooms were well appointed and super clean. The location was convenient near the main street. What I think makes this B&B stand out amongst the others are...

I am thinking of Mary Poppins (the movie: Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke) where Mary Poppins pulls out a magic measuring tape and reads off the character of each person. For herself she reads: "Mary Poppins: practically perfect in every way." I did not say "practically perfect" about the Channel Bass Inn because I could not think of a...

My 13 year old Grandaughter had an excellent time with Barbara for tea. Our tea cup was never empty or cold. The food courses were excellent and presented with class. If you are lucky enough Barbara will provide entertainment for you. She is very warm and inviting and not stuffy. We visited on another young lady's first day. I didn't...

Quiet, comfortable, beautiful. We adore this place and will return in the near future. This was our first stay after having visited Chincoteague for the last 19 years staying at a very nice hotel close by. Breakfasts were fabulous and we enjoying meeting other guests. The afternoon tea should not be missed; the scones with clotted cream and jam were...

This is the second time we went for an afternoon tea at the Channel Bass Inn - the first was almost 20 years ago. Not that we didn't want to, we just didn't have a chance until this Thanksgiving weekend. The experience exceeded the memories - charming, personal service by Barbara (she will make a point of calling each of...

My husband and I had never been to Chincoteague Island. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Channell Bass Inn. David and Barbara made us feel very comfortable. They were exceptionally helpful with our plans, making suggestions for dinner and other activities. We will be back!

So I surprised my wife with this amazing destination called Channel Bass Inn. What brought my attention to visit this place was the history of this place open since the 1800s. Barbera and David treat you like royalty from fresh lox bagels with capers and cream cheese and that's just the beginning. Barbera is an amazing cook and Baker she...

Our two days at the Channel Bass Inn were totally delightful. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Barbara and David are wonderful hosts. They made sure we were comfortable and suggested restaurants and places to see. The breakfasts were out of this world! Barbara is an amazing baker and cook. She made the most delicious ginger scones I have...
