My family and I were on vacation here in Chincoteague and had the pleasure of staying at the Sea Shell Motel. We could not have been happier with our choice. I wanted to share a few things that will hopefully help others find this as a great place to stay as well. First, and most important of all, our room...

We love the Sea Shell Motel. We've been staying there for week stays for a few years now. We enjoy the fact that it's "off the beaten path". The flowers and outdoor space is nothing that you will find at the bigger chain hotels. It is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are very well maintained and up to date. We've...

Wow, we sure picked the best place to stay in Chincoteague for the Pony Swim week. All the guests quickly became family for the week and we really enjoyed each other's company. The hotel is well run, Dana and Chris are great owners and hosts, they sure know how to do it right. The rooms were modern and clean and...

My family recently stayed at this motel for a long weekend. We had rented a 1 room efficiency... after initially looking at the room pics on their website it wasn't quite what I expected but after looking at the pics on their website after I got home I can now see the difference. Overall the motel/room is clean/decent however the...

The Sea Shell is a smaller hotel in Chincoteague and off the beaten path which is nice. Room was OK but nothing extra. No clock or small fridge--no hair dryers and towels were rather thin! Air conditioner is built into the wall and very high. If my husband weren't very tall, I would have needed to stand on a chair...

We have stayed at the sea shell motel for several vacations now and we love it here. The family feeling this place gives you is amazing. The staff from the owners to the workers there are absolutely amazing. Very clean rooms, nice pool, and the outdoor kitchen is perfect. Perfect place.

This place is an old fashioned one story motel but it is spotless. The rooms, grounds, and pool is very clean. The rates make it a bargain on the island and it is within walking distance to Main Street. It is also very quiet at night even with the windows open.

We went to Chincoteague island to ride bikes relax and chill out. We absolutely love the place. They have a screened in outdoor kitchen, if you pack a cooler or go to the fresh fish market two blocks away and buy some shrimp too grill and eat outside you can do it here, we leave our cooler in the summer...

Stayed here recently when I was in town for a Road Scholar bike ride. I loved the family-oriented, old-fashioned feel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I could easily and happily spent a week or more here. The only reason I have not rated this a 5 is the slight musty smell, due no doubt...

Stayed for the oyster festival. Had to pay for three nights, but only stayed two. Still less expensive than two at the chain hotels. Very clean. They have updated, don't go by the photos on the website. It is nicer! We had the two room efficiency. Even the sofa bed was good. Lots of blankets and pillows. Great experience.
