A harder than expected day walking the Wolds Way I was very glad to arrive - Maureen warmly greeted me and sorted me out with comfort and fuel - delicious scone plus proper tea! Very pleasant bedroom with views towards the hills where I had descended. Sorted me out with a pub booking and as it was Saturday I was...

We stayed for 2 nights, 4th and 5th March 2016. The weather was horrible when we arrived, snow and sleet, it was freezing cold. Maureen greeted us with a tray of hot coffee and home made cakes and made us feel very welcome. We had the use of a very cosy sitting/dinning room with TV. Our bedroom was quiet with...

Although rather old fashioned, Maureen's hospitality was super! We sat outside eating home made scones in her lovely garden which she gave me a tour of. She had booked me into the village pub which was a good job as it was busy! I was served a great breakfast

This lovely residential house in the small village of Millington offering bed and breakfast is perfect for a peaceful and quiet stay. It is in a wonderful location with an incredibly beautiful garden sloping down from the house and with the open fields and hillside beyond. It is one of the most scenic outlooks you could ask for and the...

We stayed here while walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way and everything about our stay was lovely. We had a spacious room with a view back up the hill to where we had been walking. There was a large en-suite bathroom. In the evening Maureen cooked us a really good meal, and the following morning there was a very nice breakfast....

Maureen is a very nice lady and was very helpful and friendly. Well worth the money. Very clean and tidy. I was there because I had wedding at a local golf course. Maureen was so nice that in the day she gave me a lift to the golf course saving me a cab fare. She went out her way to...

Everything you hope for in a B&B: warm welcome, a friendly, helpful host and clean, comfortable accommodation. We stayed over for the night with our friends whilst walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way - the village was worth the short detour particularly as the pub served really good Angus steaks!

A friend and I stayed here for one night as we tackled the 79 miles of the Yorkshire Wolds Way long distance walk. The owner, Maureen, was there to greet us after our 16 mile trek and quickly offered to 'put the kettle on'. She showed us to our en suite twin room, which was spacious, clean, tidy and had...

Three of us stayed at Maureen's cottage in November. We had a wonderful time in Yorkshire walking in the hills and visiting the villages around the B&B. the hotel is located perfectly for people who want to visit York but have the experience of staying in the country. Maureen is fantastic and we will definitely return!
