I stayed at this property for one night while visiting the town & Shenandoah Nat Pk. The location was great. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel staff was very nice. I stayed on the ground floor and the wifi did not reach my room. The floor was very dusty so it was a little annoying because I like to walk around with bare feet. I did not try the breakfast preferring to sleep in as it ends very early. I went to close the room shades and they fell on the floor. The room was very cheaply furnished and the floors were also cheap stick on tile. The A/c worked great. It was an ok hotel. I saw no bugs but it was a bit far from the hikes I wanted to do and not the atmosphere I was looking for so one night was enough.

Four nights and they never serviced the room, ran out of everything you would expect in a motel room, towels, soap, coffee, everything. The TV remote didn't work. Loads of dust behind the furniture and on light fixtures. killed several cockroaches in the room. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Call Oder hotel rundown floors in the rooms were filthy a lot of upgrades need to be done such as painting new furniture repairs. And get rid of the people that are using it for drug sales. Play hotel management needs to be orientated on Howell to clean an update rooms as far as painting cleanliness furniture in exterior maintenance.

This hotel is close to the entry to the Shenandoah National Park and a walking distance to the heart of historic Front Royal. We reserved the room with breakfast on Booking.com and the price reflected that. When we arrived I asked about the hours and location of breakfast. I was told it would be a “bagged breakfast” . That sounded acceptable because we had a prior experience with that kind of arrangement. In other hotels during COVID pandemic it always meant a brown bag with bottles of juice and water, yogurts, bagel, muffin, apples, hard boiled eggs etc. To my surprise nothing was offered in the morning. When questioned the gentlemen receptionist went to the back of the building and brought two single-serving bags of plain generic oatmeal and that was it! Complete misrepresentation! There was no milk to go with it, no water. I understand that the times are difficult but did not like the misrepresentation! I suggested they should notify Booking and TripAdvisor that they do not offer breakfast or adjust their price. Not only we prepaid and overpaid apparently for the room but they charged my credit card an extra $100 which they returned a few days later! The hotel was dated and messy. I do not think they have the manpower to clean. The room was “tired” looking but bed itself was clean, no bugs. The staff had attitude like they did not particularly care. The Thai restaurant next door is the closest dinner place .

Room Tip: Parking is free. Access to the building a little awkward. The rooms open to the outdoors .

Do not book here the place is way over priced the ceiling tiles have brown stains with mold there is various structural cracks throughout building the managers treat the Latino housekeeping staff like slaves and mistreat them constantly treading on their rights as free citizens of America their continental breakfast consists of bags of oatmeal the entire building is in serious disrepair and nothing is up to code the Thai restaurant there however was the best part of the stay they have excellent staff and excellent food they lie about their rates and are serious shisters to be honest you shouldn't stay in any of the cheaper shady hotels/motels in that area

Despite advertisements for continental breakfast, there is none (I have open case with custoner service). I was told due to Covid, all they give you packaged oatmeal, coffee, and teabags. This place feels filthy. While the bedsheets and pillowcases seem to be washed, this is where it ends. There were spots on comforters, not clear if they are washed. As we arrived at our room, the first thing that met us was some kind of bug (roach???) running across the floor. Then we noticed there was hair and other particles on the floor. I don't think they ever mop the floors. There is a strange "not clean" smell all around. Everything feels old and run down. Room cleaning turned out, happens only if you ask the front desk to do it. The only good thing is a man who met us at front desk when we arrived, and seem to be doing many things around hotel (like replacing hair dryer that didn't work). This guy was very nice all around.

This place is dirty, run down and the staff are a disgrace to the hospitality industry. Bathroom ceiling collapsed the first night we were there, no other rooms available. No extra towels to clean up the water. Front desk could care less. Key card lock on door stopped working next morning, again no help from front desk. Hallways smell like urine and the rooms are disgusting. I would not recommend this place stay open for business. You will regret staying here
