First and foremost I want to say that the pictures on trip advisor had me a little bit uneasy about my decision to stay (pictures that are now known as pre construction ). Scott greeted us outside and offered to take our luggage upstairs. We also stopped by and got takeout and Scott set us up outside to eat. The house is beautiful with simple furnishings in the rooms. Breakfast was delicious and Lisa took our order that evening along with the time we would like to eat. My husband and I are eager to come back!

My family spent one night here on our road trip through the South. It's a historic old house that's been beautifully renovated inside. Lots of antique-looking furnishings and decor. Super charming. Located a few miles from the town center on what used to be a large farm, so there's nothing in walking distance but it takes only 5mins to drive to town. Their covid protocols were communicated very well and guests and staff seemed to be complying. Run by a very friendly couple who gave us good dinner advice. We ate at a spectacular BBQ place in a converted gas station (trust me, it's much nicer than it sounds) on the recommendation of the hosts. Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom also large and spotless. Wifi adequate. The outdoor patio in the back was really lovely. Due to covid, they scheduled breakfast for each party and we ate out on the patio and guests could choose from several offerings. Breakfast was excellent. Price was very reasonable so I'd rate this an excellent value.

A wonderful B&B in a lovely quiet country setting. We had a very large room that was clean and comfortable. It's near to the Shenandoah NP entrance. Friendly, helpful hosts. The full breakfast was great and kept us going for our first hike of the day. We highly recommend Mountain Home.

Warm and welcoming hosts Lisa and Scott have turned this classic 19th century home into a delightful B and B..and waystation on the Appalachian Trail. Our room was huge and comfortable, the bathroom bigger than many NYC apartments! Breakfast is expertly prepared-- don't miss the homemade blueberry jam-- and during our 3-day stay, there were fascinating guests sharing the table, among them serious AT hikers with tales to tell. The inn is close to the spectacular Skyline Drive as well as the culinary comforts of nearby town Front Royal and the jaw-dropping Luray Caverns. An A-plus experience for sure.

Stayed for the weekend. Convenient to the area & quiet. Host were very friendly, made you feel like family. Free Wi-fi was fast & strong. Breakfast was a little light but lots of fresh fruit which was awesome. Drive is gravel & a bit on the steep side. Restoration is going well.
