I stopped here on my way to North Carolina. It was a nice midway point from NYC. I drove by the inn twice before I realized it was down the road along the tracks. The inn is very clean and comfortable and the rooms have nice amenities. Its a very quiet relaxing place. The owners were very welcoming. There is...

We stayed in the Allegheny room for a quick weekend away during my weekend off from doing taxes (I'm a tax accountant working 80 hours a week these days). I'm due in June and was just looking for a quiet place to get away and relax. This fit the bill! Sandra and Jeff were SO nice and accommodating. Beautiful roses,...

We loved our trip here. My wife bought one of their unique mugs! The owners were very accommodating and assisted with restaurant reservations. The room was very cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. The massages we got were also very enjoyable. Only reason it wasn't a five is because of the train that came through several times during the night which is...

George and I stayed her for a 3 night getaway. It was absolutely incredible. The inkeepers are leaps and bounds ahead of others. They are absolutely accommodating and beyond friendly and helpful. George and I will be back someday.

We had a fantastic time on our "babymoon" at The Hummingbird Inn. Sandra and Jeff were so friendly and attentive-- we had everything just how we liked it. The breakfasts were creative and delicious, the room and bathroom extremely comfortable (we were in the Alleghany), and we loved curling up with cookies and milk in the cozy 18th-century den by...

The Hummingbird in is beautiful, charming, quaint, and classy. My husband and I stayed for a weekend in December to renew our wedding vowels. The innkeepers organized a perfect ceremony from everything to a beautiful bouquet of flowers to a delicious wedding cake and champagne. They were so friendly and accommodating. The facility is clean and gorgeous. We cannot wait...

The Hummingbird Inn is a late 18th historic property in the midst of some of the prettiest landscape that Virginia has to offer. Spotless and meticulously maintained, this historic establishment is charming. Four good-sized common rooms offer various places to sit and read, watch TV, socialize with other guests, or play the piano. A library including the kinds of books...

The Hummingbird Inn is nestled in Goshen near Lexington and is a great stop along the way. The historic inn has lots of quiet spots to relax and reflect...along the creek, on the veranda overlooking the hills, and in the gardens. The train runs closeby and brings a romantic flair. Wifi is available, yet spotty - best to keep off...

We had a fantastic stay here. Sandra and Jeff, the new owners since June, were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. We were in the Allegheny room, which was extremely comfortable, well-decorated, and definitely charming. We loved the whirlpool tub, which was quiet, spacious, and comfortable.
