I called the hotel to inquire about the possibility of cancelling my reservation and Rita the manager informed me that I could not cancel. Take note..that the hotel had already charged my card $500 when making the reservation. After I got off the phone with her, I got a notification from my bank today that my card was charged another $400.00. So, because I called and inquired about cancelling my reservation due to the weather, she took it upon herself to go ahead and charge my card for our entire stay…and we haven’t even arrived there yet! So, I called the hotel again, spoke to her and asked if she charged my card after we spoke on the phone earlier and she said “yes…she did, and did it because she could!” To be honest, I do not want to stay at a hotel that has employees like this. Shady and completely underhanded.…
The room was small but comfortable and quiet with a very plush pillow top bed. The bathroom was well designed. No coffee or microwave in room but available 24 hours in lobby. Mini refrigerator in room to keep your drinks cold.
Did not allow for late check out more than 1-hour! I could’ve gotten more than a late checkout at any of the leading hotel brands especially as a Diamond-level member. The management and staff were not friendly and very inflexible to my late checkout request.
Staff is amazing, rooms are nice, clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast is good, nice choice. The only down side was we could hear very well the people in the room next to ours, but that was not much of an issue as we checked in late, and got up pretty early anyways.
Unbelievably rude/ condescending front staff… dirty rooms….breakfast only 6-9 and food was disgusting… treated our baseball team ages 15-16 as trouble makers and they fid absolutely nothing wrong.. parents and players were constantly watched like hawks for no reason
The moment we stepped into this hotel our whole family fell in love with it 😍!! It’s absolutely a family friendly hotel with Pool table, board games, washer dryer, clean gymnasium and free hot breakfast!! For our transit to Smooky mountain we choose to stay in this place and we absolutely loved it! Our room was very spacious and modern. Loved the cleanliness. Highly recommend if you plan to stay for a day or two.
We stayed here during a long road trip for a single night. The facility is new and is in great condition. The entire facility was clean, including our room. We were greeted by a friendly individual at the front desk who promptly checked us in. There was nothing wrong with our stay, so you may be wondering why they only received four stars. Tru is a basic facility ( and less expensive) than other Hilton properties. The rooms remind me of European hotels and has minimal comforts with a bed, one night stand (we used a chair as a second) a room fridge but NO microwave. There isn't a traditional closet but there are hooks on the wall for hanging clothes. The bathroom was large and I LOVED the glass shower and was happy to avoid having a shower curtain sticking to my skin. Another love about the rooms are tile floors throughout which were kept clean. It was nice to not have to worry about what might be lurking in the hotel carpet. I would recommend staying here and think this location is ideal for people passing through. It's probably not a place I would want to stay at for a long term vacation. I would definitely visit a Tru property in the future.…
Overall the stay was fine. When we checked in the woman at the front desk was wonderful - she gave us great recommendations on things to do in the area, and where to eat, which was super helpful. The room was fine, but could have been a tad cleaner - nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel in general. What really swayed my opinion toward not giving this a 5 star rating is actually something that is very simple: The night of our stay, we went to the lobby and asked if there was anywhere to get any complimentary water (because I had read there was!), and we were told they had bottles of water for purchase for $4. I even asked about the bottles of water in bags sitting behind the counter in plain sight and was told those were for diamond and some other status level only. I ASKED if there was any complimentary water, and she said no. So, we pay for the $4 bottle of water, start walking down the hall, and what do we see? A FREE WATER STATION - cups included. SERIOUSLY?! I know it seems silly, but it really is the little things that make a difference! Other than that, it was a typical hotel stay. Overall cleanliness was good.…
We usually stay at Hampton or Baymonts this stay was better than most. The price was a bargain for the quality. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. It was very nice Tobe greeted by name by TV
Just stayed one night with my son .It was a 1/2 way point between TN and NH. Very easily booked online 1 hr before we arrived. Very modern and loved everything about our room and the hotel. Loved the decor, the window shade, the shower. Your soaps and shampoos are in dispensers on the walls. Absolutely loved that. Lemon sugar scrub was amazing. Virtual key was cool. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, super clean. Breakfast included was great!
