1. Good location 2. Can be noisy - the traffic noise woke me up several times. I am generally a sound sleeper. 3. The A/C -heater unit is really noisy. 4. They could not be more environmentally irresponsible if they tried. 5. If you drink tea - forget it - the hot water tastes strongly of coffee. 6. The hotel staff is friendly if you are typically American. Otherwise they are professional. Its very jarring to see how friendly they are with the people before you and behind you - but treat you with a cold 'name, license and credit card please'. If you are Asian American - be prepared to be cold shouldered by the staff here. 7. If you have the option to pay extra for breakfast - skip it.
Very nice and personable staff. Rooms were pleasant and clean. Coffee and breakfast options were minimal but good to have in a crunch. Some of the other guest were travelling workers who liked to party into the night; The noise was the only downside.
Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff and accomodated my dog. Breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are very clean and beds comfortable. I was appreciative to have a room close to elevator with dog. We stay here as it is halfway between Tennessee and NY.
Near highway 81, good place to stop while on a road trip. Quiet place. Beakfast included. Clean. Price correct. Choose the suites to have more space in the room. Wifi okay. Friendly staff. For dinner, go not far from the hotel on the corner lights at The Sub Station Mexican Grill... very good food. A thiny restaurant managed by a family, good portion and tasty.
Not much around within walking distance except a dunkin donuts . Hotel was clean, safe and quiet. Staff was friendly breakfast was OK coffee and muffins also donuts bread and hard boiled eggs. Apples and bananas. It was ready earlier then advised and it worked great for me as I had an early take off.
Clean rooms, efficient check-in and check-out, well equipped and efficient room layout. The hot breakfast was limited but was adequate. The location was close by the interstate and made the stop quick and easy. The service was friendly and helpful, and the price was great.
Although the front desk representative (Leslie) was very friendly and professional, I cannot rate this hotel better than a 2 star. The hotel room has very much fallen into disrepair (patched work visible in multiple places on the bathroom walls, window lounge mattress had significant stains, and the chair upholstery also had multiple stains more than general depreciation) and the breakfast was pretty bad. I hope the other rooms are not in such poor shape as the room we had. For the cost of over $200 for one night (perhaps inflated price due to the university football game), one would expect better accommodations. If the hotel does not upgrade soon and if there is availability at other hotels, I strongly recommend that guests avoid the Microtel in Harrisonburg, VA and pay the extra costs to stay at another hotel.…
We stayed overnight at the Microtel in Harrisburg, Va on a recent road trip. We have stayed in Microtels before, but all are definitely not the same! This Microtel was one of the nicest we have been in. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, truly making you feel welcomed and not just another person passing through. The entire facility was clean and in working order. Very easy on/off access from the interstate, yet not at all noisy.
Was close to Airport where I was taking a class to become an AMP for light sport. Picked this hotel because they showed a hot breakfast. I had to be in class by 7:30 and travel time was approximately 15/20 minutes
We were driving from Texas to Massachusetts and looked for a hotel right off the highway. Amazing location, allows pets 25lbs and under, breakfast, swimming pool, clean rooms/facility, friendly employees Would definitely recommend !!!
