Although this hotel is older than some others in the area, We found that the does a good job of keeping the property clean. The staff were all very friendly and smiled while talking with you. That may seem like a small thing, but when you're traveling it's nice to be greeted by smiling faces. We stayed in the one-bedroom suite that was very spacious, My daughter's service dog was welcomed with a treat and there was a dog walk area next to the parking lot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for "basic" functional accommodations.
The hotel was located at the intersection of two busy streets and considering the traffic noise and proximity to railroad tracks we should have known better. Aside from the fact that the staff assigned us a room on the street side where noise was pretty much constant, the barking dog in the next room late at night, the couple arguing outside our room at midnight, and the constant music being played down the hall we didn’t get much sleep. The room itself was somewhat clean with dust and dirt in the corners and along the edges of the carpet and tile. Shower was nice with adequate towels. Bed was exceptionally hard and was pretty much like sleeping on a board. Countertops were stained with a large circular burn from a pan in the kitchen and should be fixed. You basically needed binoculars to the see the small TV. Heating and cooling were not always easy to adjust and upon entering the room the air conditioning was running full blast when it was in the 30’s outside. After turning on the heat and setting it at 72 it became reasonable after a couple of hours.…
The room was frigid when I got on, the air conditioner was blasting and I could not turn it down. I was absolutely shivering. I had to turn the heat on to make the room comfortable. The dishes and silverware look like they got it at goodwill. There was no bed side table, just a space, outlet and light fixture where it clearly should have been. There was no remote for the TV and when I went to the front desk there was no one there. The internet was sporadic at best. The bathtub was disgusting, there were huge cracks in the bathtub that someone slapped caulk on and there was mold in the tub as well. I was so disgusting that I did not take a shower there. Additionally they jacked up the prices almost 3 times the normal rate due to JMU move in weekend. The price I paid was $289 without tax, the same room is $105 today. I have uploaded photos of the room just to document how disgusting the tub was.…
Was an older motel but very clear and quiet. The pillows and bed were great. The room had a full refrigerator, 2 stove eyes, a microwave, two beds. Many restaurants within a couple miles. We would stay here again. We had plenty of towels, washcloths, soap. The staff was courteous. Was not noisy, no slamming doors
Used. Worn. Broken. Dirty. That’ the concise description. Giant knot of hair lying on the bathroom floor, with some sort of stuff dripping down the bathroom walls that was never wiped off or cleaned up. Broken recliner. Broken lampshade. We chose this because it was pet friendly & I couldn’t find any other rooms available between here & Charlottesville. Don’t do it. Avoid.
We stayed one night at this hotel to break up a 14 hour trip. It was clean and comfortable and would stay there again if I make this trip again. Harrisonburg is a large enough town that you have plenty of restaurant choices for dinner or breakfast.
no ice machine in the hotel, all 4 dryers very little heat, the same washer broken all week. no forks in the silverware drawer. was quiet, mostly clean, especially common areas.stayed here for work for the week
Overnight stay for Leap Day. Compact lobby area with couch and "Candlewood Cupboard" (small vending area) and "Lending Locker" (array of items that may be borrowed including slow cookers, pressure cookers, board games, etc.). Workout area off lobby (secured via room key card) with large array of gym equipment, and laundry facilities. One elevator for 3-story property. Outside grilling area available for guest use. Check-in staff friendly, though check-in delayed very briefly while staff busy with computer. Check-out was efficient and quick. Clean, comfortable room with hardwood entry/kitchen and carpeted work/sleeping area. Queen bed was comfortable. No bedside clock. No in-room safe. Room thermostat/HVAC control on wall next to/behind TV. 32-inch TV a bit small for room but adequate; channel list provided in room is incorrect so must channel surf to identify available channels. Reclining chair nice touch, albeit a bit worn. Nice working desk and desk chair, small notepad (that says "Write it all down" but no writing implements), two telephones. Adequate electrical outlets but no USB power ports. Wi-Fi signal strong and reliable. Full kitchen with dual-burner range, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and refrigerator-freezer with ice maker. But with microwave, virtually no counter space. Roomy accessible bathroom with bulk shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers in full tub/shower. No space to put toiletries, which seems odd in extended-stay property. Housekeeping only once a week for extended stays but towel exchange available at front desk. Acceptable stay and might consider staying again but would also explore other propeties nearby.…
We enjoyed our suite including a full kitchen and separate bedroom. Totally adequate and comfortable for two, may be a bit crowded for a bigger group. Clean throughout, nice pots and accessories in kitchen. And all at a reasonable price.
Stayed many times and rooms are consistently dirty. The only reason I chose to stay here so much was the price with my employee rate. But you get what you pay for. Dirty dishes in dishwasher, urine and fecal stains in toilets, trash from previous guests in cabinets and drawers, hair in bathtubs. Definitely nowhere near worth the price. Conditions are something you would expect from a roadside motel. Had a disruption one time when the method of payment I had used at least 10 times previously was denied and after staying there a few more times the manager banned me for the disruption that took place a month previous. Poor management. Housekeepers are a joke. Will be staying with my fiancé at a nicer hotel from here on out.
