The location is quite central, but the rooms are somewhat of a distance from each other, so I would not recommend the far-off rooms for someone with mobility issues, as the walk to them is up a fairly steep hill. But the sheets are silky, the duvet just the right "puffiness," and the mattress comfortable. There are a number of...

Good food, great atmosphere, reasonable price. Flexibility to order from the pub or dinner menu. So good for my family of 4 we are there 2 out of 4 nights in Middleburg. Walking distance from Salamander for half the price for dinner.

Dear Adam W, Thank you for leaving us a review of our tavern. Though our formal dinner menu is served downstairs, on our second level (and outside on our terrace) we offer both our dinner menu as well as a more casual pubfare menu. We are happy you enjoyed your meals with us, and hope to see you again in...

My husband and I stayed at the inn this past weekend. This was our second stay and this time we were with another couple who also stayed at the inn on our recommendation. We chose room 19 which is on the 3rd floor of the main building. Our room was fine (clean and comfortable) but when the sun came up...

The Inn is lovely and quaint. They have done a wonderful job with renovations and all the little touches that make a room comfortable. But, as soon as people start moving around in the morning (around 6:30) the floors are so creaky, it is impossible to sleep. We stayed in the Martha Washington in the main building. Im not sure...

Hello FamilyGF101, and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on TripAdvisor. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your room, but we apologize that the floors were too creaky for you to be able to sleep! Such a wonderful and unique experience from the moment we checked in. Beautiful and convenient location if you are interested in strolling the streets and stopping into antiques shops, enjoying farm to table food and participating in a cider tasting. Dinner was delish, with a very impressive wine selection. Can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting majestic Middleburg.

Wonderful to stay in a place with a long and interesting history, and much of it showing on the walls. The inn is beautifully kept, the staff are warm and welcoming, the dinner was terrific, and the setting is fantastic.

As always, the room was great, the food terrific. For the 2nd time, the bartender in the pub was brain dead. It can't be that hard to find a bartender that knows what you have and can operate the register. Otherwise, this place always exceeds expectations.

Dear Tie M, Unfortunately on the eve that you joined us, our registers were giving us a little bit of difficulty (at the Red Fox we miss the good old days of plain and simple dollar bill currency, though we are unabashedly trapped in time— 1728 to be exact). We do apologize for any inconvenience we caused while trying to...

The inn is charming, the staff were warm and friendly, the breakfast is lovely, but we barely slept because of the temperature of the inn. It is kept extremely warm in the winter to the point that we opened our windows and we were still too hot.

The breakfast was nice and the room was nice. The shower handle was loose and hard to use with pieces missing. The bath fan sounded like a motorcycle and didn't seem to draw much air. For the cost, the maintenance should be better.

Red Fox Inn is a charming historic inn steeped in the hunt tradition of Middleburg. We had a LOVELY stay in the charming house behind the inn. Two dinners and two breakfasts were all excellent!
