We spent two nights at the Briar Patch to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The Inn is quaint and historic. You can read into that whatever you like, but it is an old house, so don't expect the Marriott. We stayed in the Daisy Room, which was small, but more than adequate for us. We thought the breakfast was great,...

This place was great for our weekend getaway. We booked last minute, so they gave us 20% off which was great. it was a cooking class weekend so we had to participate and that was pretty pricey, not worth it so we wouldn't recommend it. We were able to bring our 9 month old puppy and she had a great...

This place must have been on downed times when we visited. Stayed in the cottage and it was just okay. There were blinds that were missing on windows facing entry, so there was no privacy. There was a leak in the roof that had a patch-work job done on it, so it was leaking all night. Breakfast was just ordinary...

We bought a two night package for here on Living Social. Breakfast was Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, Quiche from Safeway, Fruit Salad, and a Banana Nut Bread loaf.Nothing "hot". More of a Continental Breakfast. The breakfast the second morning was the same with leftover rolls, bread and fruit salad.! Our room was not cleaned while we were there. There were clothes...

Wonderful old home in a beautiful setting. Staff was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us with our needs for the wedding that was held there this past weekend. breakfasts were delicious. I would have given them five Stars, except for some annoying infrastructure issues. Specifically, the pool was unusable, the hot tub was broken...

I was looking for a B&B in Middleburg to relax and unwind after some grueling months of work and the Briar Patch turned out to be just what I was looking for and more! A friend had suggested the Red Fox Inn, which is fancier and right in Middleburg, but I'm very happy I chose Briar Patch: it's a few...

Beautiful property and outstanding service and staff! The cottage provides all the comforts of home in a peaceful and beautiful setting. The staff ensured our stay was memorable. The B&B is only 5 minutes away from Middleburg's Main Street where you have numerous great restaurants and shops. Definitely plan to return!

This review is based on our experience at Briar Patch, which was the location of our wedding. Choosing the reception venue is one of the first steps in planning a wedding. This decision affects nearly all other vendor decisions, as the venue sets the atmosphere for the big day. Not a choice to be taken lightly, we reviewed over 2,000...

We live in Reston and needed a quick get away -- not too far from responsibilities. What a surprise the Briar Patch was! We used the pool, roamed the property, relaxed under the stars at night and on the front porch with coffee in the morning. Ellen made us feel perfectly at home. We had a wonderful bike ride to...
