Bonfire hostel is a really great place if you're looking to stay in a more fun, outgoing place during your time in Rishikesh. There's a cool lounge area as you enter the Hostel, and you can find many travelers hanging out together and having a good time there. The rooms were clean, large, and well cleaned during the days we were out. Free water was really helpful during our stay. The staff was really chill, I would definitely return.

My opinion purely comes from two facts, one, I have been to spacious and cleaner hostels and two, I stayed here only for one night. Location wise, it's on the main road and close enough to Laxman Jhula which is perfect. The hosts are also quite friendly. The only concern for me was the cramped space and the washrooms and the rooms weren't at their cleanest best. If you are going to spend most of the time outdoors or are here to socialise and make friends, I guess it is no big deal. But if you are someone who likes their quiet little spaces, I wouldn't really suggest this hostel.

We a group of ten friends including 4 children booked a one night stay here en route to Raithal. We chose this place cause it was just for few hours of sleep and it had bunk beds which the kids were keen on. And this also was one of the few forms that allowed accommodation for kids. The plus points of this place is it Is REALLY a budget accommodation. So don't expect anything even slightly fancy. But they did have filtered drinking water for free. And it was in a crowded main Rd so transportation was easy and many sightseeing places and markets were witjin walking distance. The minus is it has a very flexible accommodation policy..so you may pre book a particular room but will be allotted only based on availability once you get there. We had booked 2, 6 bed ac dorms but were told only half of us have Ac beds and the rest non AC ones. And the rates were also hiked after getting there. The pics on the website are a little deceptive and the dorms are not as bright or spacious as shown. Dissatisfaction about the place on our part is mostly because we believed the online projection about it.

please do not expect any higher standards of behaviour, attitude or courtesy from the working Staff. Aquaguard RO treated safe drinking water. Hot running water in shower. Cleanliness in entire property. Silent and spacious dormitory. Wooden beds with personal lighting and curtain privacy to each guest. Floor wiper and toilet brush available in washroom. State of the art Grohe bath fittings. Cloth drying stand on terrace. The owner's son is quite active and knowledgeable, would also go an extra inch to comfort you.

When you hear people talking about places feeling like home or being treated like family, its very rarely the case, but the Bonfire Family welcomed me with open arms and for that I'm truly grateful. Being a solo budget traveller, I often rock into places at odd hours (catching the cheapest, yet usually most inconvenient mode of transport). When I arrived in Rishikesh at 7am, Akki was there to check me in right away. It was so nice not having to wait around until midday to have a shower and crash out, catching up on some much needed sleep. Although the rooftop was closed for renovation while I was there, all the staff made an extra effort to keep us busy every day with awesome activities - waterfall, beach hangs, sunrise hike. Even taking us to the cinema to see a Bollywood film!!! Super chill, epic vibes.... This is now my HOME in Rishikesh. Thanks a million guys.

We have been traveling on India for over a month and the stay at the bonfire was our worst by far. The room was really small and dirty, the bathroom filthy (we didn’t even take a shower because it was disgusting). The only thing we were looking for when booked the hotel was for yoga lessons, we were told they offered free yoga twice a day. We showed up for the morning yoga session and the person at the front desk (who was sleeping in the reception couch) was extremely rude and told us to wait, half an hour later he told us there was not going to be any lesson, and that we had to try again in ten hours for the afternoon lesson. It is not expensive at all but we have been to much nicer places that are way cheaper in our trip. We don’t recommend this to anybody, ever.

I stayed in Bonfire in March 2018 and seriously this place is the best in Rishikesh. I'hve stayed in Rishikesh couple of the but this was the best. The manager was so welcoming and it started to felt like home as u step . The dorms are really comfortable and amazing was the curtains they had. They have a rooftop which is always a place to chill with others. I totally enjoy every tad of my stay and will recommend to stay!! Boom Shiva 😃

I checked into the hotel around 8:40 am.. the owner akki was kind enough to accommodate an early check in right away without any wait time.. the location is so prime that rafting and bunjee and yoga bookings can be done at the doorstep.. I was there for two days, booked a dorm. The dorms are clean and the rooms are comfy.. the bonfire at the rooftop is quite amazing and akki the host will guide you to beach parties and help you anytime.. be it middle in the night too when you just want to sit and have a conversation.. economical and feasible property.. bonfire is what a solo traveller needs
