Very bad experience......rooms and washroom are very dirty and unhygienic......they charged 7000rs from us for 3 person which is too much for a place like this.....you can easily get better room in rishikesh under 2000rs.....food too is very bad......dont waste your money they are looting people....rooms look beautiful from our outside but are more pathetic from inside.....
Short version - you're sitting RIGHT on the river - value for money, BASIC - sweet & very helpful staff - difficult to locate, since the point from where you've to descend the hills is different from the actual resort location - (you & I are) generating unmanaged waste Long version - BEAUTIFUL riverfront. It's the Heul river, a tributary which joins Ganga a bit downstream. Lovely if you intend to sit in the sun with your feet in the water ❤️ Even among the string of resorts in the same area, this one has a really open, shallow, flat & clean access. Even the pebbles are more colourful in front of this resort, sorry if I sound childish 😃 Okay, it's NOT pristine. There's enough garbage on the shores, stuck between the rocks & pebbles, to kill your mood. Some of it floats down, but some (see pic) are left by the people that you were chatting with last night ☹️ really makes you wonder about the upbringing & culture of your co-travelers.... I cleaned out the area just in front of our resort the 1st day, so I (& some others) enjoyed a beautiful clean river for 3 days. - Cottages, okay for 2 persons, small if you are taking for couple + kids. There's a double bed & a bedside table. No cupboard, no chairs, & no room for either. Floors are not clean. Partly because of the proximity to the river, it's always wet/damp, & you bring in a lot of mud in your soles, but there was accumulated dirt in the corners, & the walls were a bit dirty too. No, not posting pics. Bathroom was clean. Bed, bedsheets, blankets, towels, bucket, mug, basin, toilet seat, these things were completely spic & span clean. Provided us extra blankets, & also room heater. They only provide a soap, bring your toiletries (bring them everywhere. Those tiny packs of toiletries at hotels kill the oceans). - fixed menu, 3 meals plus evening snacks. Food is tasty. Kitchen & dining area are hygienic, you can eat outdoors too. Staff is very sweet, Surender, Dhanpal, Vikas & Robin helped us & always said yes to whatever we requested. Bonfires in the evening after 7pm, & they keep adding to it till 10 pm, whenever it's going out. Fresh wood burns out quicker than & smokes more than dry wood, so it's something they cannot control. Sometimes, there are guets who want to enjoy alcohol rather than nature, The staff keep the alcohol tables separate. We rented a scooter to go around & the staff brought our rented scooter downhill from the road to the resort, & uphill out to the road, every day. - more signages are needed, better signages are needed. Advice to owners : clean bold signs telling the name of the resort, an arrow, & distance are the best. You are not advertising with signages, have ads, AND have signages. - Waste disposal is an issue. The staff said that they have a dry waste disposal, but I suspect that THAT is burning it, INCLUDING the plastic, & they don't realize that they are the first person to take those poisonous fumes to their lungs. Wet waste they put in a pit somewhere, & already it's attracting monkeys. Not only the management, but also the Government meeds to actually PROVIDE waste management system, it is a known fact that tourism generates more waste than domestic or office areas... I will leave full 5 starts, because, it was a 5 star experience, & rival properties are NOT being rated on environment-friendliness by other reviewers, so 🤷🏽♀️ Baaqi, what we, as a people, as a species are doing to our planet, is every single person's own conscience...…
