The evening Aarti of River Ganga at Parmarth is amazing. It is not to miss when you are in Rishikesh. The Bhajans and Aarti is very Heart Touching and the experience is wordless. Do feel the atmosphere of blissness. At the bank of River Ganga you can get the peace and delightful energy from Nature.

Very well organised and beautiful place to visit and see and participate. The Brahmin boys make it a very special and memorable place. The Aarti and a haven was a wonderful experience. Hope to return and maybe stay at the Ashram.

A very active ashram! Shuttleloads of people arrive every day to visit the ashram and river. The evening fire ceremony is truly beautiful. Generally, the ashram grounds are well-maintained and clean. There are ongoing classes, mostly in Hindi. One of the best features is an Ayurveda Panchakarma Center with a doctor, massage therapy, and other therapies such as sauna. Very... More

A pilgrimage that makes yoga and meditation so very simple and natural. Rooms are comfortable, with attached wash rooms, alirahs with locks. The dini g area provides pure, hygenic and very tasty food at most economical rates. The place is blessed to have Muni ji and Sadhvi ji,whose very presence makes this ashram a unique destination for those seeking solitude, yoga and meditation. Ganga... More

I booked for 5 nights and stayed only 2 (would have been 1 if I there was space at Anand Prakash Ashram, which is where I moved to) I've stayed in many low budget and low quality rooms around Asia, but this was the worst. The bathroom was covered in mould on the walls and the smell of damp was... More

Yes, Parmarth Niketan is not a hotel.....it is far more. It has a beautiful temple complex on its campus. It has a Gurukul (a typical school in Hindu tradition), a gau-shala ( home for cows), a Yoga school, an Ayurvedic (Indian system of medicine) hospital, ...all at one compound. To top it all, it is by the side of Ganges.... More

Stayed here 5 nights. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept, right on Ganga which is great. I confirmed my room at least 4 times, yet when checking in, they couldn't seem to find my name so I got stuck with a crappy run down room. The man at the check in desk took forever to check me in,... the big disadvantage is to reach there if you are on your own car filthy roads about 13 kms from one bank to another of Ganges will surely makes u in trouble if you accompany your family. Better stays on the other bank of Ram Jhula and avoid this location
