I can see the most recent review is from 2012. We visited the place today (Dec. 28, 2016) knowing nothing about it beforehand, and most fortunately did not stay. The guard at the entrance was asleep and had to be woken up to collect the 100 baht per person visitor fee. The location and the beach are most beautiful but...

We were staying nearby, at the lovely Chivaburi Beach Resort, but kayaked over to this place each day, for the surreal experience of walking around what we called Sad Harbor. Don't stay here, really DON"T, but do visit. Weird to find a former cruise ship, pulled up into the Harbor as a cheap hotel, now boarded up, along with a...

Curious why visitors had to pay 100 baht to enter the resort, we paid the 200 baht and came unto a huge resort, the size of a park. A bit run down, it nevertheless was charming enough to try it for a few nights. The entry fee was deducted from the price of the room. We liked it so much...

Stayed here for 5 days. Very enjoyable, great breakfast, fantastic private beach. Very private area, great for walks. Good restaurant and lovely staff. We were lucky to stay in one of the boats on our own. Quite relaxing and different. Atmosphere was terrific. Its a shame the place is a bit run down, would have been interesting to see it...

recently visited the Aunchaleena and found the place to be amazing, the beach is beautiful with fantastic views, the beach bar serves a good selection of drinks and foods the Main part of the Old hotel is a former cruise ship similar to those seen on the River Nile, but this is in need of a major renovation, but the...

We didnt stay here, we just visited. It's far removed from everything but if you have a motorbike and are around bang bao, quite worth the visit! It's a ghost resort as we visited in low season. Several big elephant sculptures in the entrance. The two main atractions are the shipwrecks in a ?artificial? Lagoon mixed up with the some...

Awful stay, would not recommend. The staff were rude, unfriendly and very unhelpful. The food was very un-Thai and incredibly average. The hotel is ageing badly, my room was noisy, the shower only worked on cold and there was an old half drunken coke can in the fridge. I checked out after one night as could not bare to stay...

The ONLY thing this property has on its side is the location, however that in itself at the most expensive time of the year (Christmas/New Year) goes against the location - taxi's to and from are expensive! No-one spoke any English, everything was falling apart in out room ie the shower fell off the wall, the sink was coming away...

The good thing upfront: The beach was stunningly beautiful and very quiet. So, if you are looking for a peaceful and quite vacation and you can live with the fact that the hotel doesn't offer much - you are at the right place. However, that was pretty much about it. We booked the hotel in agoda.com, 4 month before we...

We got scammed into this hotel by the small office where the ferry leave's. They said great hotel "best on koh chang" after they signed us up to the horror hotel they even want tips. No one in the hotel speaks English. Only saw drunk eastern Europeans running around yelling. Food was terrible and expensive. And your stuck away from...
