Having stayed many times on the island we were hoping for an above average hotel. The place itself, along with the facilities and actual hotel (building) is fine, it is quite beautiful actually. As were the staff, helpful and friendly. The management of the place...More

Chai Chet is a fantastic place. It is set at the end of Klong Prao beach. Two KM of great safe sand and bathing. There is a road behind and a small town with three supermarkets, pharmacies, limited street food and some restaurants. There are restaurants beach side. The resort is set in stunning grounds, great pool, excellent well-priced restaurant, mainly Asian focused breakfast but very good, just don't expect "full English". As you can see I am a fan. I have stayed at all the resorts in the area and also Lonely Beach, Whitesands etc. but it is Chai Chet that keeps pulling me back. The only downside that I can offer is that the showers aren't up to much and the bathrooms/accommodation is a little tired otherwise it is an excellent place at a right value price.
I hope this helps.
Have a good trip wherever you go.
