Hostel Oasis really was an oasis for travellers. From the unlimited free pancakes and bananas for breakfast every morning, to the lovely refreshing pool, plentiful hammocks and open kitchen, it was a great place to stay and meet people. They also had lots of activities/trips that were easily organised, and helpful information such as bus timetables available. The only negatives...

Good location in the city as the market and the square are really close. Pool is nice. Breakfast is a real bonus with pancakes and bananas. Dorms are fine and its a good place to meet people. Can't really ask for more.

Hostel Oasis is right in the middle of the action yet once you get back in the front door, is away from the hustle bustle and are able to unwind. The rooms are simple yet comfortable. The free pancake breakfast and coffee is the best way to start the day as well as a pool to cool down in. The...

All you can eat pancakes..what's not to love!! Rooms are clean and the layout of the hostel is great, making it very easy to meet other travellers and socialise. The staff are really friendly and give great tips and also organise things for you to do in the area. I ended up staying much longer than intended as I loved...

Me and my friend were supposed to book a different one but we heard about this from fellow travellers and thank god we followed their advice. Very chilled place, clean, social and with indoor pool! Rooms are spacious and well kept, with loads of fans. Loads of hammocks around as well. The staff was very helpful, we had booked a...

We loved this place! The hostel is really big and the perfect place to meet other backpackers. They offer everything you need and the staff is very helpfull. The owner really wants the best for her guests and she shows that to everyone. The free breakfast is all you need: all you can eat pancakes, bananas and coffee/tea. You can...

The place has seen better days. The staff needs to renovate the whole place. You can do better. The rooms are small and the common area is kind of dirty. They still have publicity from yoga and other places that dates from 2009. I also recommend that you skip their free pancakes because the quality is bad.

I stayed here in mid November and had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. There were many reasons for this; very helpful staff, large open spaces to just relax , use computers, wifi, electrical outlets, a cold pool, free tea, coffee and water refills all day, open kitchen and the generous portions of free pancake breakfast. It was reasonably quiet...

The hostel has nice facilities and cool colonial style decorations. Despite the chilled lounge areas it is kind of a half party hostel, lots of young Americans who like to drink at the hostel. Silence time should start at 11 but it goes easily close to 12. And reception ladies start to clean the rooms before 7 when people are...

Mostly positive things to say: calm and quiet, central location, helpful and friendly staff, nice free breakfast (banano, pancakes and syrup), good coffee (that's always availible!). On the negative side: small rooms. Almost no space to Open up a bag in the room...!
