I’ve just returned to the UK from an amazing trip to Nicaragua – such a beautiful country. One of the highlights was my stay at La Islita in Granada. It was the perfect place to relax in real comfort after a day exploring the town or a day on Lake Nicaragua. The owners Andreas and Tim have created a lovely...

We loved our 2 night stay at this perfect little hotel near the heart of Granada. As other reviwers have mentioned, the location and service are wonderful. The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk the main walking street (La Calzada but is far enough from the hustle and bustle not to keep you awake from all the noise...

Talking about location and service, La Islita was the perfect place for us to rest from our exploring adventure in Nicaragua. Located only a couple of blocks away from the main walking street (La Calzada) we were able to explore on foot the town without compromising our sleep with the busy noise of Granada’s nightlife. I was pleasantly surprise with...

We stayed 3 nights at La Islita in August. Tim and Andres, as well as the rest of the staff, were excellent hosts. Tim gave us several restaurant suggestions as well as steering us towards an excellent tour guide service for our day trips from Granada. Their rooftop area offers great views of the city and the nearby volcano. Every...

I stayed 13 nights here in July, this after a 10 night stay in January. La Islita is the hotel of choice for me in Granada. It offers a variety of comfortable and very cool rooms, two great and compassionate hosts in Andres and Tim, a wonderful staff (get to know then, as each is wonderful), It's ideally located, retains...

My husband and I stayed at La Islita on our honeymoon in June of 2010 and we absolutely loved it. This was our first trip to Granada and we could not have been more pleased. Tim and Andres were beyond helpful, and so enjoyable to be around. They gave us helpful suggestions and directions as well as assistance with finding...

We spent 2 nights at La Islita during our stay in Granada this summer and it was just a joy. The staff was incredibly helpful (our luggage got lost at the airport and they got it delivered to us), the hotel was very clean and the food was AMAZING. The breakfast included in your stay is totally worthwhile. It's in...

Even with the time lapse stated above, my stay at La Islita Boutique Hotel was a memorable experience! I have stayed at other hotels in Granada, but the coziness and cleanliness and friendly staff was special and unique. The owners made you feel special and the staff was so attentive. Maykel, in particular was always in tune with my questions...

Just got back from our first trip to Granada. Had a great time at La Islita, which served as a home away from home for us with great accommodations and amazing breakfasts. Tim and Andres were gracious, interesting and always seemed happy to see us as we dragged ourselves in from the heat. Assistant manager, Maykel, was especially helpful and...

I have never traveled w/ kids before, and Tim and Andreas made it all work. Breakfast, getting us cell phones, introducing us to new friends, spanish lessons, restaurants, this made our first week in Nicaragua EASY. Love those two guys, loved granada, loved the hotel, and the location. Maykel/Micheal/Miguel [not sure what name he goes by] did everything to make...
