People aren't kidding when they say "party hostel." I found this place months ago before new ownership took over and was super excited for it. When I went to book a few weeks before my trip, it suddenly was only open on weekends and the word "party" was being thrown around like crazy. We aren't big into party hostels (I'd...

Thanks for taking the time to put this together Kim, It's great to get a review to point out a few things we need to work on. We have the toilet seats in place and have changed the hammock set up ;) we have hung out some more bananas to entice the monkeys as well lol. Starting in 2 weeks...

Definitely a party hostel , people looking for rest and relaxation need not apply! We opted for the private treehouse which had two hammocks and an amazing view. If your a sloppy drunk or are scared of heights you might want stick to the private rooms or hammocks 10$ dinners are great and drinks are reasonable, but expect to party...

Thanks for taking the time to review us Scott. We love hearing people are getting the most out of The Treehouse - we are opening soon for a couple of more nights with a more chill vibe as well if you feel like experiencing a different side to the place. Meals now are only between $4 - $6 as well...

Go to a friendly place mid-way up the sky. It's loose and weird and nobody can wipe the smiles off their face. Every step, everyone sleeping face down in a hammock, every screaming monkey is part of the experience. The food is amazing and the staff are heroes. Go do something you will remember for the rest of your life.

We stayed for 2 nights for my partners birthday and had an amazing time. The staff were wonderful and the parties were a great time. Food was great and drinks were reasonably priced. Lots of free shots each night and lots of great activities to get everyone having fun together. Dorms are a hike from the main bar, make sure...

The Treehouse is one of the coolest hostels I've ever stayed at! They have several different sleeping options, but if you down for an adventure I would highly recommend sleeping in a hammock on the hammock platform or in the private tree house. There's a troop of howler monkeys that live in the same tree as the hammock platform and...

This place knows how it's done! You're out in the serious jungle, up about a bazillion steps (note: not wheelchair accessible), but this is the spot. Friday/Saturday night, if there's a party, you better be there. I laughed, I cried, I lost 10 pounds but then I found it. The awesome: View Vibe Neighbors The possible cons: You're in a...

Hi Ian, thanks for the honest review. It's not quite a gazillion steps but hey, 200m is quite a climb! Did you miss out on a dorm bed? Hammock naps aren't for everyone, we know... So, we want you to know that we're taking on board what you have shared, we have revised our drinks menu, prices included! (There's not...

This place was amazing! All the people were so nice, and the kitchen ninjas made us some amazing dinner for cheap! I'd totally recommend the hammocks to sleep in, but don't pick the one on the end, it gets wet when it rains! Otherwise I can't wait to go back and see my painted quote and foot I left on...

We chose to sleep in the single treehouse and we were lucky enough that it was available when we arrived. The small platform has two hammocks over a small platform (less than ten sq ft) up off the ground. The hostel provides sheets and blankets for the hammocks but it can still get a little cold. You'll get woken up...

My girlfriend and I went to the treehouse! What an experience. Such an amazing place in the world. You have to go! The eclectic artwork and music was exploding from this place like flowers out of a garden. John, the owner was very friendly and so were most of the volunteers minus 1. There was an extremely rude volunteer there...
