Approaching through the rather run down garbage strewn Barrio that is home to this property, you would be surprised to find such a nice hotel at this location. Although certainly not central, it is only about a twenty five minute stroll to the main square, or about five minutes in a cab ($2-$3). There is a Shopping Mall (with modern... More

A group of six of us stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. Bedrooms were very clean and the pool was lovely. There were three choices of breakfast and all were delicious. Drinks in the bar were quite expensive. Town was in walking distance from the hotel, but would advise a taxi home at night. Be weary of wearing any... More

Stayed here for three nights, midweek in March. The price was 70 a night and was about a mile walk from the city center. I'm not sure how the price matches up with others in the area. It's a close walk to a grocery store and pizza place. Would probably stay here again.

They double charged me for the room. Once I paid in cash (no receipt given!!!!!) and then they charged my credit card too! They dont reply to emails or phone calls to return my money. Now I have contacted bookings.com to get a refund and already spend hours on the phone trying to get the money back. Also the security... More

We enjoyed our stay and found the rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast was from choice of three and we enjoyed the local one each morning we were there. It was a little walk from the centre but that caused no problems at any time of day or evening. Aircon worked well and the pool was small and refreshing.

We had a great time at Hotel La Mar Dulce and were even able to extend our stay very easily. It was incredibly peaceful to be off the main strip and relax by/in the pool and grab a drink at the bar. The room was great and larger then expected with a private bathroom. The breakfast is included and we... More

We chose to stay at La Mar Dulce over the New Years as we wanted to be a little away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the main square (10 min walk) it turned out the Nicaraguan New Year's party is so wild we didn't end up returning to our hotel till the early hours anyway! Ha! Great... More

Lovely, small hotel. Wonderful pool and nice bar serving great margaritas. The breakfast was included and the pancakes were delicious. We found the young women at the reception desk to be very helpful. She ordered a taxi for us at 7pm and it arrived on time.

Hotel La Mar Dulce (not to be confused with Estancia Mar Dulce on the main drag) is a beautiful hotel with an even more beautiful pool and courtyard. The rooms have AC and nice windows which open. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included. It's nice that it's not on the main restaurant row (Calle La Calzada),... More

We stayed as a group and were celebrating several birthdays at the time. The whole hotel was booked by our group however they closed the pool/bar area early and were very unaccommodating for light celebrations. The room finish was average, which was disappointing given the price. The stay was a shame given our high expectations given previous reviews. If management... More
