The owner was extremely helpful as she was fluent in both English and Spanish. Coming from Costa Rica we did know our way around Granada and the owner explained all the attractions and went as far as writing out the directions and transportation to take in Spanish. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very affordable and delicious. Service was quick and efficient. If it was not for the owner we would have missed our return transportation to Costal Rica. She communicated with the shuttle company and arranged pickup nearby. She went the extra mile and took us out to the connection point. I would definitely stay again at the hotel and recommend it to other visitors. Greg and Steve

What a great experience! We LOVED being hosted at Casa Barcelona - a quiet, peaceful, welcoming, safe place. The hotel is run by its founder Yexira, and Nicaraguan women. The rooms are more beautiful in person than the photos on this website. Every aspect of the hotel is cared for: the rooms, the property, the beautiful gardens in the courtyard, and of course the guests. Breakfast AND COFFEE are DELICIOUS. We loved being away from the chaos of the Parque Central but having it close enough to walk to (about 10 - 15 minutes). The neighbors are friendly (give them a smile and a wave) and there is a delicious restaurant down the block and around the corner. We felt safe and accommodated at all times. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

Casa Barcelona is a lovely guesthouse with rooms surrounding a garden which is obviously well tended to. The room was good, spacious enough (if you stay as a couple and don't have the extra bed it is very spacious), with great mattresses and a good ceilingfan. Cleaning could be a little more thorough, but nothing for me to worry about (main things like bed, sheets, toilet were very clean!). They are in the process of doing up some of the rooms, which should help with small problems such as calcified shower heads. The breakfast is big, no matter what option you choose, and well prepared. The city centre is about 10 minutes away on foot - a walk you can easily do (also on your own) until about 9, 10pm. I loved the fact that we were not in the middel of the madness and would definitely stay here again, also because the owner was very helpful!…

It was a nice place based on the price, just 10 minutes away walking from downtown Granada, very quiet, not all the rooms have A/C and some of them need a little maintenance. They have security cameras around, good WiFi and common areas to rest if you want.

We stayed here for two nights. Very tranquil Oasis amidst the busy streets of Granada. The owner and her nephew were very kind, helpful and eager to please. The food was great, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would come again next time we are in Nicaragua! Thanks very much and keep up the great work! :)

I love the staff, they're so friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the centre of town but that means you will experience the market! Our room was clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I have spent 3 night in Hotel Casa Barcelona and very much enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, great wifi service and very friendly staff. Yexira was very helpful and helped arranging a taxi to the airport, her uncle have made some home remedy for me to treat my mosquito bites.Stayed with a friend and we the walk through the market every morning was part of the experience. At night it is better to take a taxi back here but this would cost you about a 1$. No hot water but I got used to it after traveling in Nicaragua for two weeks plus the weather is hot. Comfortable bed and very quite at night. Over all I decently recommend staying here if you don't mind not being a little off center.. Thank you very much.

I experienced a very comfortable stay at this hotel, very clean, great garden and sitting area. Its in a quiet area in Granada, owned by a very nice helpful Nicaraguan family, the staff were also very good and punctual. Great price for great comfortable stay, Ill definitely stay here again. This hotel shouldn't have any stars with the service they offered The room was very poorly clean and the bathroom don't have hot water or a window just a hole in the wall The room was not clean even when we left the keys at the front their response was "you didn't ask for it" Internet never work in 2 nights The area is really unsafe and lots of homeless around

Respetamos su opinión. Tan solo decirle que Nicaragua es un país tropical donde la temperatura media durante todo el año ronda y supera los 30 grados C. Podemos entender que hay personas que pese a esa temperatura tan alta necesitan bañarse con agua caliente, pero nuestro establecimiento apuesta por un turismo sostenible y responsable, igual que les pedimos que las toallas que consideren que no han sido utilizadas no las dejen en el suelo para que las lavemos y repongamos. Si nos lo hubieran preguntado antes, con gusto les hubiéramos aconsejado algún hotel más lujoso y con una tarifa más elevada, donde tienen agua caliente en las habitaciones. El servicio que ofrece H Casa Barcelona está en consonancia con una buena relación calidad precio y es respetuoso con el medio ambiente, y así lo atestiguan las decenas de comentarios positivos que recibimos. H Casa Barcelona es un establecimiento que ha apostado desde su inauguración por un turismo responsable donde los huéspedes y clientes puedan sentirse tranquilos, a gusto y como en su casa en un ambiente de paz, armonía y cordialidad. Respetamos sus comentarios pero no es justo recibir este tipo de ofensas. No entendemos sus comentarios negativos cuando ustedes reservaron dos habitaciones, y sus hijas fueron muy amables y agradables con el personal del hotel y dijeron que la habitación estaba muy linda y que le gustaba mucho. Nuestro hotel se enorgullece del servicio y limpieza que tienen sus instalaciones y habitaciones, como así nos lo hacen constar la gran mayoría de clientes. En cuanto a la inseguridad que menciona, no podemos evitar que hayan personas miedosas y que se asustan fácilmente en cualquier lugar y situación, pero les podemos decir que los habitantes del barrio de Boca Negra son personas muy trabajadoras, honradas y humildes. Son de escasos recursos económicos (pobres), eso sí, porque no es un barrio de ricos, pero nadie tiene derecho a condenarlos de antemano, y le aseguramos que ningún cliente del hotel ha sufrido robo o percance alguno. Todo lo contrario, si algún turista se pierde o necesita ayuda los pobladores se sienten amistosos y cordiales, siempre dispuestos a ayudar al extranjero. Lamentamos que su visión de nuestro barrio, ciudad o país, sea tan distinta a la realidad, y lo invitamos a regresar si lo desea para que pueda comprobar que en ocasiones las personas sacamos conclusiones equivocadas de las cosas.
