I just had the MOST PLEASANT two week stay at the Hotel Colonial in Granada. Meticulously clean, large and well decorated room, everything worked as it should. The hotel, itself, and pool areas are beautiful......and the staff is consistently helpful and friendly in every way. The hotel is located in the very heart of the city, just off the main... More

We just had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Colonial. We travelled in a group with 8 other friends. We first stayed here in 2003 and it's great to see that that hotel continues to shine. The grounds and the rooms are clean and everything is kept in good repair. We love the pool and swim up bar. The staff... More

This hotel is at center of Granada. Hotel staff exceptional. spoke fluent English, helpful arranging taxis to various destinations...ferry, airport. Had shuttle that picked us up in Managua at airport. When we needed money changed, bank employee came to hotel to change currency at very fair exchange. We stayed here for 3 nights and were very impressed. The hotel was a block away from the center square. It was a fantastic location. It had beautiful architecture. The rooms were very large and nicely furnished. The staff were very knowledgeable and eager to help in any issues you had, wether it was finding somewhere good to eat or... More

As a solo traveler, I LOVED staying 3 nights at Hotel Colonial. I arrived late at night, and they accommodated me quickly and with great patience, as apparently I screwed up the dates of my reservation arriving a day too early. My room was lovely, in a corner upstairs. Private, safe and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, responsive and... More

We enjoyed 10 nights at the colonial. Huge breakfasts started each day. Comfortable rooms though the beds were a bit too firm for our personal tastes. We had a 3rd floor room, (no elevator) but the climb was good for the a little workout). Close to everything, friendly staff, clean.

This hotel was clean, convenient, and safe. The staff was excellent. Although the rooms were just okay, they were also clean and neat. Some of the rooms in back like ours only had small windows on the interior wall to the courtyard so they are a little dark. This hotel has a real spanish flavor too it. Many similar hotels... More

Dear Guest We greatly appreciate you comment of us in Tripadvisor. Hotel Colonial was built to recreate the architecture and tradition style that embodies the city of Granada, which is the oldest city of the Americas. The hotel is in the hart of Granada. All restaurants, bars and -ofcourse- beautiful old Colonial houses are on walking distances. The hotel is expensieve comparing averige prices in Nicaragua. But it is very charming with a very helpfull staff. It is in Colonial style and fits into the town.
