Last week my partner and I spent 5 amazing days in Grenada Nicaragua. As a pretty serious travel junkie, I did my research and booked a room at the Hotel Plaza Colon. The place is beautiful, spotlessly clean and perfectly located. Our room (204) had a balcony overlooking the "parque central' (definitely worth the extra $20). It was fairly spacious...

It's unusual to find a hotel in the center of a colonial town that is so well appointed. The rooms are comfortable and reasonable size, the pool area albeit small is very comfortable and inviting, and the staff was extraordinarily attentive and personable. I would recommend Plaza Colon to anyone travelling to Granada - it deserves the reviews it has...

When looking at reviews, there are always some people you can't please. But I immediately noticed that this hotel only received 4 and 5 star reviews. And it is deserved. The hotel is a beautiful colonial style building with lovely courtyards and rooms. The welcome drink could be an alcoholic one, which is unusual but a nice treat after a...

We had meetings in that hotel, a group of about 20 persons, mainly americans. Service was excellent from the beginning, all rooms were fine, location could not be better. The city is kind of hot so most of us wento to the bar right in front of the hotel al night to sip a few drinks, mainly Toñas, one of...

This hotel was a highlight of my trip. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are helpful and friendly and it's so perfectly located in Granada right off the main square. The room came with breakfast and the buffet was fresh and delicious. The water is hot, there's wifi anywhere in the hotel. A great great hotel.

My son was recently married in the Cathedral across the square from The Plaza Colon. We found the hotel quiet and comfortable. The rooms are large and the beds are firm. There is an excellent breakfast buffet which includes eggs cooked to order. The service and staff is excellent. My only criticism is that we had lunch one afternoon on...

My husband and I spent two nights at the Hotel Plaza Colon and couldn't have been more pleased. Every member of the team there is delightful and helpful and makes you feel very welcome and valued. The public spaces are attractive and elegant. There's a small but lovely pool to enjoy in a quiet courtyard with comfortable lounge chairs. We...

We booked two night here. The hotel is on the main plaza with excellent views of the lovingly restored cathedral. The hotel has been restored with beautiful hardwoods, historic details, and sun filled court yards. The staff is friendly, accommodating, but not intrusive. Based on reviews from strip Advisor, we skipped the balcony rooms because we heard they were noisy....

Our family stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Plaza Colon. We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location is simply unbeatable--directly across from the main plaza and cathedral. I would recommend the rooms with balconies at the front of the hotel, which have great views. We were also very happy with the wonderful staff....

It was a 2 night stop in during our honeymoon and the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Everyone helped us with places to go, directed us with maps, etc. I highly recommend this hotel.
