We loved our stay at Regina, the hotel feels like home. Great personal service. The rooms are simple but unique, the breakfast is perfect for a good start before heading on the slopes. The fact that you can walk to the skilift is of course a bonus and after a long day out the hotel has their own small cinema...

Stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend. Staff very friendly and service excellent. Very nice breakfast. Real variety of clientele which is nice to see. Rooms and facilities slightly dated but this is by design, I'd call it very successfully "shabby chic". Only 5 min walk from main town and 10 min walk from ski lifts....

We simply fell in love with Bad Gastein and it's very special Belle Epoque Atmosphere - and we even more felt at home at The Regina! It's the perfect place for everybody who does not look for "big standard hotels" but more for the individuality of a place. Especially the bar, restaurant or library area offer the perfect hang-out in...

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, each room is decorated with perfect attention to detail. The Regina Team went above and beyond to accomodate our wishes including preparing a special cake for my boyfriends birthday- the food was excellent! After a long trip from Salzbourg and Dachstein mountains, we've arrived late at this hotel. It's a little bit far from the highway but Bad Gastein is a wonderful village. People at the reception were vey welcoming. Two young women gave us the main information for a good stay. The hotel is very central and you can easily walk in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The sophisticated, slightly fusty imperial and royal charm that pervades the air at the former imperial spa of Bad Gastein in Austria, ends abruptly as you cross the threshold of the Regina. Its youthful manager, Olaf Krohne, a Bad Gastein-enthusiast for many years, has awoken the hotel from what had been a seemingly eternal slumber. The design mixes furnishings reminiscent of the old Baroque with a spark or two of irony. Special Features: This hotel is perfectly suited to young and young-at-heart individualists with or without children. Dogs are welcome. It is the ideal base for winter sports. A wonderful base from which to experience the mountains, whether you enjoy walking or any other kind of mountain sport. ... more   less
