The picture on Expedia gives the impression of an impressive building housing rooms at a golf resort. It is far from that. The golf course and club are nice. People that work in reception and the restaurant friendly and polite. Food was very good as was the restaurant service. The rooms are in need of tlc They are motel rooms. The poolside is not what you think! It provokes a thought in a resort of trees and nice chairs! Not that! The best rooms are overlooking the mountain out back. They are clean but getting tired and worn! One night ok but not a resort to stay at by any means.
Our couples group goes every Spring for 3 days. Once again our stay was a great experience. Rooms were clean, neat and comfortable. Miller Grille was open to a full menu and the food was as expected, especially the breakfast buffet. Everyone at Shenvalee are always very friendly and helpful. If you needed anything, they were there to help. The best thing about this resort is you never have to get in your car and drive. Everything is right there and convenient. All three courses are a cart ride to get to and Miller Grille and the Pro Shop are next door. It's a win win all around! Our girl group will be returning once again in the Fall for our annual 3 day trip. Thank you Shenvalee Golf Resort!
Impressed! Very neat, updated, clean and very nice rooms. Service was perfection. Restaurant served incredibly great food.......Hostess and server went above and beyond. Gorgeous setting in the Mountains. Friendly accomodating employees, I shall stay there again and again......Thank you all for your generosity, and complete attention, and service. I certainly would recommend for families/travelers.....wonderful!
The website states only service animals; no pets or emotional support animals allowed. This info is as of 13 MAR 21. Looks like a nice place otherwise. The gallery had some nice photos and the information was easy to find.
We recently stayed for 2 nights here while hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Check in and check out was quick and easy. All of the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean except for some dead bugs laying around. (At least they were dead.)
Place is literally on a golf resort. Met my needs which was inexpensive lodging for a college visit. It was bout 20 mins away from JMU. The room was large and faced the golf course. The bathroom was decent size. I noticed there are two EV chargers and one appeared to be Tesla approved as it had a Telsa sign. This is a big plus for anyone who owns an EV or Tesla. Room also had a fridge but no microwave or closet (with a door). I picked this place based on the reviews. Some other hotels/motels were cheaper but had bad reviews. Room is outdated. One of the beds had a soft mattress where the middle was basically indented from everyone sleeping on it. I will not nit pick since I knew for the price I was not expecting the Hilton. It did the job. Another negative (but not fault of the resort) were people drinking and being a little loud. Fortunately, these are older folks so they were not up late since they had to go to bed to play golf.…
Stayed 3 nights 4 days of golf. Excellent course conditions even under dry spell in the area. Breakfast buffet adequate. It was included with the price. You could special order your eggs - nice touch. Friendly staff all around. Just ask and they will accommodate. Comfortable room and shower.
Everything was set up for us with quick check in and golf carts and all ready for use every day with no hold up. Great pool and hot tub area to relax after golfing and bar and food was great to meet with the guys and breakfast in the morning was quick and good.
We had the best time at Shenvallee. Our room was wonderful with an awesome view of the golf course and mountains. Had a great meal with fantastic service at Miller Grille. I would highly recommend this resort.
We needed a room for one night on the way to a family wedding. It was Labor Day weekend and everything was so expensive. We found this place and it was perfect. The room was very clean and appears to have been updated. The pool was very nice also. We had lunch and dinner at the Miller Grille which is onsite and a few steps from the rooms. They have an outside patio where you can sit and relax for r just sit outside your room, there are chairs outside every room. We would stay here again.
