Detailed Reviews
Spent two nights there on way from ferry to Vendee. They do family and connecting rooms although we just needed one double room. Amazingly good value. Sharing a site with KFC gives the wrong impression as we had two really great quality evening meals in the restaurant. Car went in the free, secure, underground parking. It is easy to get to the hotel from the Rennes ring road as it is on a North South road on the outskirts of Rennes but within the peripherique. As well as the KFC, there is a MacDonald's and small shops very near including a helpful pharmacy - I took conjunctivitis with me to France.
We drove into the centre - put Place Hoche in the satnav and you will find excellent secure underground parking at roughly £1.20 per hour.

I picked this hotel because I wanted a budget friendly place that was easy to find off the highway and that is what I got. We stayed at three Ibis hotels on this trip and one Novotel, all part of the Accor family of hotels. Novotels are nicer hotels with a few more amenities but they cost more
We arrived later in the evening coming from Rouen and didn't want to go into Rennes since it was so late. Next door to the hotel was a KFC and a McDonald's and the hotel has it's own restaurant but we just wanted something quick so we ate at KFC. The hotel is in an industrial area about 3 miles from the center of Rennes.
The hotel was easy to find using the website's directions, it said which exit to get off on and said to follow Autopole Sud coming from Caen. When we asked how to get into Rennes the desk clerk suggested taking the bus but we had a car and there were four of us so we drove. It was very easy from the hotel with their map and because we got there reasonably early, the parking lots still had availability but were filled up when we left Rennes
This was a standard Ibis, no surprises. Ibis hotels tend to have very basic amenities, you get a clean room, a reasonably comfortable bed and nothing else. Free parking in an underground garage since the hotel is outside the center. Free wifi.
The shower was fine, toiletries are limited to multi purpose soap in a wall dispenser in the shower and next to the sink. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom

Nice friendly budget place for a stopover, in our case to Mont St. Michel. The Friday night was very quiet, also the restaurant was closed. If you don't want to go too far it's just McDonald's and KFC nearby.

We were booked into the Rennes cesson ibis but were transferred at the last minute due to renovations not being completed at that hotel. This was a one night stopover on a drive from the alps to st malo. The hotel was clean and modern and the receptionists were all helpful and spoke good English. After the long drive we didn't want to go far for dinner so elected the hotel restaurant not expecting much but were surprised that the food was excellent. As a stopover stay we would definitely recommend. 2 adults, 3 children.

I spent five nights in early July 2014 at the hotel and enyoied it really. The hotel is just right in size and offers all what I needed on my business stay. Friendly staff, nice interior and nice room which was not too big, however. Breakfast buffet with a decent joice of good food.

We are regulars here and I can't complain. It's good, it's cheap at the weekends as it's in a business area. The rooms are refurbished and it you get a ground level room you can pop the cases in and out of the car without lumping them through reception.
The car park has recently been made bigger, about time !
I never have breakfast as I don't find the standard IBIS breakfast here very nice or good value.
Stayed here at Easter.

My girlfriend and I were in this hotel in May/2013 and it was our first trip to Rennes. This hotel is merely close to the University of Rennes 1 (OSUR), around of four blocks. Close to it you can find several restaurants, a MacDonald, and a charming view of the river that cross the neighbourhood. The hotel is very clean and the people who work in it, are very kind and respectful. The room when we hosted had wide space enough, wifi, satellite-TV, a nice bathroom and everything very tidy. The breakfast is self-service but it has a variety of food. We really enjoyed the breakfast specially the delicious honey butter. We recommend this hotel completely and even though it's not relatively close to the City Centre the transportation service is very efficient and you can take a bus in front of the hotel.

We stayed there again on 5th July.
Nearly empty as it was a week end. The refurbishment has finished. Breakfast still dire.
The restaurant was closed on so we went to the next door Big Mac :-)
Marginally bigger than standard IBIS room. No BBC on the TV. Bed firm but good.
We are regulars here and it is always good. ( staying again in 3 weeks)
Highly recommended for price.
There's not much to do here, treat it as a transit stop. You could drive along a bit and catch the park and ride to center of Rennes on the metro but not done this.
