Stayed here with my family and we loved it. Nice rooms and fantastic owners that helped us a lot. The area is really nice and Pic de Canigou is a must. Also visit Villefrance de Conflent and walk in the mountains. We stayed here in July and i forgot to write a review, but here it is

Back again for a weeks holiday in the Gite Madres, which suits the two of us perfectly. Although we have returned to the area several times, there are always new things to find and we have never been disappointed by the area. Nick and Kate have done even more work on the house and garden and the result is quite...

As usual my husband and I find all sorts of things to stop and see along the way, but I sure wish we had had more time to spend at Villa Lafabregue. The mansion and grounds are so beautiful and romantic. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate for us. Kate's breakfast buffet was delicious and...

Lovely old mansion house with beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Very helpful and laid back hosts, with fluent English and French. Good breakfast with option to take something with you for lunch. Dog and cat on site, but not obtrusive. Beautiful views from balconies. Easy walk to town sights. Really great value for money. We stayed here and hiked at...

We've just had another perfect week in Prades - having packed in a thrilling 4x4 journey up the Canigou mountain, a classical guitar concert in a medieval priory, a Catalan folk band in Prades square, 1 Euro buses up to hill villages for great Catalan lunches followed by a walks back (there are shady woods for hot days), and visited...

We arrived at Prades station and asked around if people knew a nice B&B in the area. We were lucky they knew about Villa Lafabregue, because this is without a doubt the most pleasant experience we've ever had in a hostel. Nick & Kate are wonderful hosts who like to help you get the most out of your visit. Our...

A friend recommended Villa Lafabregue to us and we're so glad we followed her advice. We stayed for a week in the smaller Gite (Madres), which is well-appointed and has a shaded area for eating outside. Despite the hot weather, the interior remained comfortable. Our stay was also free from mosquito bites, though we may have been lucky. The main...

It just gets better and better. Now the landscaped gardens add another dimension to this already stunning destination. Always a warm welcome, great service and lovely breakfasts, along with guaranteed great weather.

Villa Lafabregue should be on everyone's "bucket list". Forget the official star ratings, they just aren't relevant here. Nick and Kath are very welcoming and the old colonial style building has been restored beautifully. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The views are just stunning; no exaggeration. Try and get a balcony room; for €75 you can't...

We stayed in the 'Canigou' bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the room large. The bathroom was well appointed, and the water hot. Breakfast was great. Nick, the host, was very helpful and welcoming. We were in Prades because of the sudden death of a friend, so it was good to be able to rest in such lovely surroundings after...
